Just wondering has anyone played dying light and would they recommend dropping full price for it. I have a ps4 and have blown through all my games and need something new as it feels like it is just sitting there like a £350 paperweight. Cheers

I have this one and The Order on pre-order for ps4, I can't wait.
Assassin Creed Unity is what I'm playing at the moment, not to far into it though. It's pretty good so far.

I was planning on steering clear of unity because of all the problems from launch, have they sorted it out yet? I usually like the assassins creed franchise. Yeah The Order looks good, I've got Arkham Knight on pre order but it delayed till June I think

I finished it on pc though, I can easily say it's my favorite game, I believe they will add much more content as dlc packs later because the game feels a bit short ( good thing there are lots and loads of side quests and events + multiplayer )

That's what I want, something with a bit of longevity, how many hours was the campaign? The multiplayer looks fun.

You should get GTA V (Grand Theft Auto V), it comes out for next-gen consoles later this year... but it is already available for PS3, that game had a budget of over $200 million and I lost hundreds of hours in it.

Full voice-overs, excellent character development, lengthy scripts for the missions and side-missions, lots of challenges to do like flying airplanes and helicopters and even scuba diving / using submersibles to find things in the ocean. Indoor and outdoor maps, and a huge area to explore...

-----

Later this spring, you should invest in The Elder Scrolls: Online, which will be coming out without a subscription for next-gen consoles in April and could easily take hundreds of hours, if not more, of game play to get the most out of it.

-----

Terraria and Minecraft are both good games, if you are into that sort of thing... and cheap.

It's out for next gen already, I got it and played it through on the ps4, this is after already playing it through on my now sold xbox360 lol. One of my all time fav games. I got the ps4 with the understanding that a load of new games were coming out before Xmas and loads of them got delayed

Elder scrolls is one of the games delayed I was talking about along with arkham knight.

Looks really good from what i've seen, lots to explore and a big map, killing zombies never gets old! doesn't come out til the 27th feb in England though, otherwise i'd have probably grabbed it by now.

Saying that, I may wait for a price drop because 'The Order 1886' comes out next week and it's just too much buying two new titles full price, and I have been waiting for The Order a long time.

I never experienced drastic problems with AC Unity on my PS4...only the (very) occasional frame-rate drop. It mostly ran fine otherwise.

As for Dying Light, i think it's pretty good. Probably not worth full price, but it will definitely keep you entertained for a while. I bought it the week it came out...Still haven't completed it yet, although i am taking my time.

I just heard and read a load of bad things about unity at launch, the glitches and the embargo, didn't really give me a lot of faith lol might be able to pick it up second hand cheap now though. You'd recommend waiting for dying light to drop price then?

I must say The Order does look good but the way things are with gaming these days I'll wait for reviews before buying, too many good looking games turned out to be flops lately. The only reason I pre ordered Arkham knight was the outstanding job rocksteady done on the 2 previous titles.

Now that i remember, i did get one glitch on Unity which required me to reload a checkpoint, but i never experienced a lot of the other stuff people were talking about. Besides the occasional problems i had, i thought it was one of the best AC games made in regards to mechanics etc.

As for Dying Light, i guess it depends on how much it will cost you. Some places may sell it cheaper than others, and it might be something worth looking in to. If you like the zombie genre and open-world games, you'll like Dying Light. I don't have many qualms with it thus far.

Played far cry, thought it was to similar to far cry 3, enjoyable but ultimately lost interest due to feeling like it was just far cry 3 polished up, finished it and left it down. Didn't even look into dragon age, is it linear or open world? If it is open world sign me up, big fallout/skyrim/anything that allows you to do what you want fan.

There was lots of reports of game breaking glitches, 2 people I know got it, one said it ran fine and the other said it was an unplayable mess and traded it in under a week.

Is dying light like dead island? That game was alright but got a bit monotonous after awhile.

I haven't played it but have heard its map is way larger than Skyrim, watched a few videos of game play and am not sure If I could really get fully immersed.

I have the Lord of the rings game on PS4 but have only played a few hours into it, It could be because have gotten pretty addicted to Destiny, haven't even finished GTA5 on PS4 with all the new additions to new version where as on PS3 it was just all I was playing pretty much since release, would jump on Grand Turismo 6 here and there but GTA had me most of the year

I am also waiting to hear more of Dying light reviews to see if its worth getting,

like you said earlier too many games are advertised well and seem to be amazing before release only to be mediocre and don't really get you sucked in for too long.

I never got around to playing Dead Island, so i can't comment on that, haha. Sorry.

While all games can get monotonous, Dying Light seems to have a fair bit to do. Between side missions, free-roaming and the campaign, it should keep you busy for a while.

Dragon Age Inquisition is an alright game, but i never played the others, so i found the story confusing as hell. I never got around to completing it, but i may do so soon. It's freedom of exploration isn't much like Skyrim, but there are some areas you can explore. I found that a lot of the environments consisted of 'paths' though. I never found it as immersive or 'fun' as other open-world games.

Haven't played dead Island games, wanted to buy them just to try out as the new one is coming out in a few months that looks interesting,

scenery of that game reminds me of Los Santos since its also based in LA just with Zombies, however if GTA 5 now with 1st person gets a zombie DLC then not sure what to do, a few months ago I really had the urge watching the previews to Dying light and Dead Island to kill some zombies but it seems to have passed.

However still interested and might wait till its a bit cheaper, Dying light that is to give it a crack, Or maybe just watch a few a more game play videos as the game does seem awesome but the only way to judge is to play and spending cash on games at the moment is a bit of a no no in my situation

Don't forget the long rumored Zombie DLC for GTA5. I'm hyped for it.

I'm waiting for the price to drop a lil-bit for Dying light. I'm keeping busy playing "State of Decay" A FANTASTIC Zombie RPG. For the 20$ price tag. you're getting your money's worth.
