Did the Ukranians say they were going to come to the US and cut Obama's head off?

Did the Russians say the were going to come to the US and impose their Caliphate here?

Because if they didn't, as ISIS did, it would almost seem like you are comparing apples and oranges in a ham handed attempt to downplay the danger we are facing from ISIS.

Which president keeps releasing enemy combatants and terrorists back on to the battlefield?

Yes it was a bad thing he did after the trial they had proving these people were terrorist. Oh yeah that's right they were never proven to be terrorist were they? And where did you link get their info from? Good ol FOX.

Obama's sympathies lie with Muslims Theocrats (remember the now defeated Arab Spring), it is his administration that is pushing for massive destabilization of the ME, by pulling US Forces out to enable groups like ISIS to take control.

We had to pull our people out the paperwork was already signed saying we would before he even took office. Guess FOX forgot to mention that huh?

Obama is doing everything in his power to finance extreme Islamists (like the half a billion dollars he wanted to give directly to ISIS a year ago) and topple Assad to further increase destabilization and increase the stranglehold of groups like ISIS.

If you think Obama was alone in the then you have selective memory. Here is the good old boy that pushed for Obama to give them the money.

and nasty old FOX news didn't make that up.

Actually they did and you fell for it.

What danger are we facing that is greater than what the civies in Ukraine are dealing with, exactly?

I live in Europe and only 3 countries away from me, people are dying en masse in HORRIBLE ways. For me, it's only getting closer, yet nobody seems to give a #.

BTW, I assume from your message you take me for an anti-Russian or something, when in reality, I'm not. I did not use Ukraine as an example for that reason at all, I think both the west and Russia are to blame for the current situation, but it's the CIVILIANS that are paying the damn price.

Oh nice, the ol' "we should show it & understand it" argument. M'kay, I'll play ball a little here.
Should we now start showing all murders of people if it rams home a point? Let's not stop with ISIL, let's go full speed ahead & just show everything on camera that is gruesome & horrific. I mean, come on, if a Jordanian human barbecue is good enough to show in full to make a statement, shouldn't every American murder caught on film be used as the same kind of opinion-nudging propaganda too? Every beheading abroad? Filmed gang rapes?

What was that? No, and there's a difference? Since when, and do clarify what makes the filmed shooting murder of someone stateside less worthy of the media circus than the Jordanian being cooked alive is.

It's a real tangled mess of ethics to try to justify viewing snuff. The mental gymnastics involved are impressive, but suffice it to say, there's always going to be the person that Says A is acceptable to view because of the threat while B isn't because, yanno, random nutters and such, thus respect for families. Respect seems to be a very, hmm, "pick & choose" application in modern American society these days.

Actually they WERE proven to be terrorists when they were found on the battlefield again.

The paperwork was already signed? How many times did Obama say " I pulled the troops out?"

He has a "phone and a pen" himself, right?

I didn't say Obama was alone in wanting to fund ISIS directly and you didn't dispute or deny it. Dear leader is a huge financial supporter of terrorist organizations.

And you fell for it.... and keep falling for it.

On this issue I agree with Fox( a very rare thing) regarding destroying Isil. And strongly disagree with Obama’s wimpy response

I DON’T AGREE THEY SHOULD SHOW THIS DISGUSTING MURDER AND TORTURE OF A HUMAN BEING.

Their public is already riled up so It is no reason that they should have shown any part of this savagery.

They are after ratings likely

If someone wants to go on you tube and watch it themselves so be it.

No, this is a boogeyman halfway across the world that cannot possibly do this to you because you are not in Iraq or Syria.

Fantastic!

Are we having some kind of parade - oh, maybe a street party! - to celebrate all the victims of the New York and London Bombings rising from the dead? I think France will also be glad to hear the news, as they've currently under this really strange delusion - really, get this, you won't believe what these guys think, it's crazy - that militant Islamists were behind some recent attacks. Hah! I can't wait to tell them they must be wrong, because the boogeyman only lives in Syria and Iraq. And those silly Africans, getting all worked up over Boko Haram when all BH really want to do is cover them with hugs and kisses. I mean, it's not like they're living in Syria or Iraq, so they must be safe.

Or - and this is just wild speculation with absolutely no evidence to support it other than a death toll of thousands on both American and British native soil, which apparently doesn't count - what we are seeing in that region is just the most obvious and current manifestation of a boogeyman that has been creeping outwards for a long, long time. ISIL or ISIS or whatever aren't the boogeyman. The boogeyman is the one that drives them, and drives AQ, and drives Boko Haram, and drives all the hundreds of splinter groups and independents and their supporters across the world.

Having said that, I agree completely that there are many people on this side of the divide with dirty hands. That is also something that needs to be dragged out kicking and screaming into the light. Maybe the West picked a fight and the others retaliated, maybe it was the other round. Guess what? Knowing the answer isn't going to put a dent in the reality that the fight is now on. Having Tony Blair jet over to the Middle East, put up his hands and say "Yeah, mea culpa, it's my fault, sorry about all this" isn't going to bring the fight to an end, either. The people fighting it aren't going to be following the Geneva Convention, either.

There is a world of difference, no mental gymnastics required.

Most murders stateside come down to theft, drugs, disputes between rivals. Individuals, doing individual things. The murder of the Jordanian pilot was by a self-proclaimed "state" trying to send a message to other states. That is an actor on the world stage, making it a very different situation to the guy from the hood robbing a convenience store.

And, oddly enough, when someone acting on behalf of the government - such as a policeman - gets involved in a shooting, suddenly everyone is clamouring to see the dashcam footage because "they need to know the truth".

American public isn't allowed to see an American killed by ISIS, but they have no problem showing a foreigner. I guess Fox figures it wasn't as gruesome as seeing a U.S. citizen in the same circumstance.

Thank you - nice to see some thinking. Even though I posted that information, seems nobody read any of it

There are so many layers to this story. I'm on my phone , so a better reply will have to wait until morning, but this is the kind of thing I was hoping people would examine and discuss

I don't need you or anyone else to censor what I watch. It is my CHOICE to decide. I applaud Fox for having the guts to put the video out there and respect that I know enough to make the decision to watch or not watch.

People deserve to have the freedom to choose what is right for them. If I watch this video it doesn't affect you. I won't come to your house and make your decisions for you. Don't come to mine.

It's the headline from the article

Its also the truth. This is a snuff film

Most people don't seem to mind

If you can't understand why I would need to present this the way I did - then I guess you're missing the point. That being - Fox news has not just done something tasteless - this is outrageously crossing a line of decency

Did you think I shouldn't have used the word snuff? Not bolded the headline? Not posted the still?

:-)

You tell me - how should this story be covered?

Isn't a snuff film when someone dies during sex on camera? Or necrophilia pornography (not just calling something that isn't pornography porn)?

No, this is not OK in my books. For Fox News to willingly contribute to being a PR tool for ISIL in the most graphic of ways is just mind blowing to say the least. Perhaps, that is exactly what they are? S+F for bringing this to attention.

But it is not your right to stop people who wish to view it.

Don't put words in my mouth

I'm asking people how they feel about this - I'm asking you

I notice - you didn't actually answer the question

I understand that that you can either choose to watch it - or not...but that's not really answering the question. Is this film OK with you?

How do you feel about it beezzer? If you choose to watch it - why is that?

If you choose not to - why not?

*meh* Change the channel.

This really isn't like a choice between Downton Abbey or SNL - is it?

It boggles the mind, indeed.

CNN was talking it about it after it happened, and the female wanna-be celebrity they parade as a journalist said "CNN doesn't show these kinds of videos". With much PRIDE in her voice.

Then she started to actually 'describe' it. I got to "and he dropped to his knees", and hit the mute button.

It's not like we can't visualize it, and I personally don't want that image in my head.

Hate to break it you son.

911 was an inside job, and so was 7/7. So erm, that argument is null and void.

Im more likely to win the lottery than be killed by "terrorists".
Im more likely to be abused by police than abused by any religious zealot. Ive never been abused by anyone of any religion, but I have been abused by police.

Lee Rigby was murdered by a pair of fruitloops. Nothing more, nothing less.
And fruitloops are becoming so much more common on our streets now mental health provisions have been slashed well beyond inadequacy.

We have sacrificed our god given freedoms to an "enemy" that hates our freedoms. That is an oxymoron.
Im sorry that you have fallen for this theatre that is being played out before us. Im not surprised one bit, the propaganda is strong, but it is just propaganda.
Anytime you are being told to hate someone, know for sure that it is just propaganda.

Apparently, Fox feels that imagining the worst horrors humanity has to offer is not enough anymore. I have to wonder why

What say you ATS - is this OK?

I've wondered what kind of society on the whole, we've become to even fathom such a thing.

Perhaps we've become so anesthetized by movies and violent videos that graphics in real life are turning to over-sensationalization to stimulate audiences to even be able to respond emotionally to something without it.

I fear the next thing will be actual "helmet cams" on our military personnel as they actively engage in warfare, with a channel who is 24-7 devoted to it. I'm betting it would have a huge audience.

It's sick.

This stinks of western intelligence.

Look at the style of the video.

They want war, whoever is responsible for ISIS wants war im telling you. Isis, mother of Horus god of war. Its coming and you cant avoid it.

You can see the guys skin melt off his face i was disgusted by that. I hate this world i cant wait until god graces me with his presence once again.

Watching that video makes me want to become a Navy SEAL which is exactly what they want.

People need to get angry about things that deserve getting angry about.
Besides, people with your extreme point of view that hates anything not bowing at the liberal alter would never watch what Fox shows anyway so why you mad bro?

NO. Because KILLING alive HUMAN BEINGS on TELEVISION is NOT OKAY.
