Common cold isn't going to do much to his playing ability.

And just to add to your deflated ball comment, he had a waaay better second half after they took the footballs in question out of the game.

We need to stop talking about it, it is really a non issue.

It's simple they cheated. It is not a "non issue".

They are known to cheat....remember the coach sending his pawns to copy the playbook of the N.Y. Jets?

Source them sending pawns to copy a playbook. Never happened. What they did was actually entirely legal and not against the rules.

As far as deflategate is concerned the NFL has been caught in a lie and they appear to have orchestrated the entire thing.

The original story was that the Colts' D'Qwell Jackson intercepted the ball, thought it felt funny, and gave it to his equipment manager. They tested it, found it was underinflated, gave it to the refs who then tested them all.

D'Qwell Jackson has come forward and said that never happened, the ball felt FINE to him, he never have it to anyone. No equipment manager has come forward saying they tested it. The NFL has been caught in a proven lie, and as far as I am concerned the entire investigation is suspect.

Jackson has since told NFL.com he noticed nothing wrong. There's been no word from the equipment guy.

sports.yahoo.com...

People saying the patriots are known cheaters are simply listening to sore losers, and perhaps sore losers themselves. Just like they "cheated" with their trick plays because it was "deceptive". People don't like the Patriots because they are the #1 team or close to it every year.

It's just hilarious when Aaron Rodgers flat out said he does it every game no one cared, and now it's a huge issue. Newsflash, every team is doing something, and there is literally no evidence the Patriots cheated.

What if they inflated the ball with hot air, and when it cooled it deflated. There is literally nothing in the rules against that.

In 2013, an anonymous college football equipment manager told Yahoo Sports that ball tampering is pretty much standard practice. "It’s just common. It’s just the way it works. Everybody does it," he said. "You know you’re not supposed to do it, but nobody thinks it’s that big of a deal. I don’t think anybody looks at it as cheating." Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers weighed in as well, telling ESPN Milwaukee that he actually likes his footballs over-inflated because he finds them easier to grip, and that Green Bay will "push the limit" of what's allowed.

www.bloombergview.com...

What team do you like? Guess what, I don't care what team you picked, every single one is doing something similar, they are all trying to circumvent the rules, some are just more creative. When you get a team like NO Saints trying to injure people on purpose, then you should be pissed off, but it was not the Patriots, so no one cared.

Hi.

boston.cbslocal.com...

Now they say Tom Brady has a cold.

As he prepares for the biggest game of the season, the Patriots quarterback is battling a cold. Brady said his kids got sick first, followed by his wife Gisele Bundchen, and now he’s brought the illness to Arizona.

Awesome. I live in Phoenix, thanks Tom.

Is it Karma?

Is it the tension?

Is it baloney?

It is what it is if Tom is sick I wish him the best. Maybe he can take a nap and use a deflated football as a pillow.

Personally the Pats cheated, but they're not the only ones. I say go after them all. Clean the whole sport up! Awww, poor wittel Tommy wommy have a cold? Poor baby! Does h need his Mommy wommy? Are they trying to set up a reason for a loss already? Did Goodell tell them to take a fall for Deflategate and this is the excuse they're setting up to give? That Tom couldn't play his best because he had a cold. (I will die laughing if I'm right. And just die period because then that means I have to take football off my list of sports to watch. I love my Jags and if football is nothing more than fake azz wrestling, then there goes watching that ever again.) Oh how I miss you Ravishing Rick Rude and Jake the Snake Roberts. LOL (among so many other greats in the 80's of course)

Can you show me the posts you made in anger over Aaron Rodgers admitting back in week 13 he tries to get away with overinflating the ball? Why is it not cheating then, but it is now? Especially since Aaron says he does it on purpose, there is no evidence the Pat's deflated anything after the refs checked it. As Aaron Rodgers already confirmed, the refs do not check it well, which would not be the Patriots fault.

Exactly. Alleged this and alleged that. The balls weren't controlled during the game nor after. Many people had their hands on them AND the opposing team felt nothing wrong with them.

Someone high up in NFL probably made a huge bet against the Patriots and lost. Now the bookie is sending enforcers to collect and the NFL is dragging it's feet with manufactured scandal. ha ha

Seriously though .. this entire 'scandal' is suspect, and not because of the Patriots.

I just said "The Pats are NOT the only ones." in my post. So that includes Rogers. So yes, that would mean him. It is cheating. Clean it up. ALL of it. If MY team, the Jags are caught cheating, which I would doubt considering how much they blow, clean it up! I have been without a TV lately, so I've missed a number of games, including my team. I will miss the Superbowl this year, something I look forward to, every year, but what can you do? I'm looking to get an antenna in time hopefully. If I can, I can, if not, my life won't be over.

Except no one talks about Rodgers, and I doubt you have, and he ADMITTED IT.

The Patriots are accused, and without a single shred of evidence you jump on them as cheaters.

Hint: The NFL has been caught in a lie, the story they gave has been proven false as I already sourced.
Hint: What happens to tire pressure when temperature changes and gets colder? It goes down, by 15PSI or more. Patriots balls were only a few PSI down, which is EXACTLY what you would expect to happen when balls left a heated area to a cold field.

Hint: There is literally ZERO evidence of cheating, and yet you are screaming to punish them.
Hint: If it was your team you would want punishment IF they cheated, but you would not label them a cheater when EVERY single piece of evidence says they did not cheat.

THAT is the problem with you and others.

ETA: I believe the Patriots film footage they gave the NFL showed the balls the entire time and the only time they were out of camera was for 90 seconds while the handler went to bathroom while carrying all 24 balls for both teams. It's physically impossible for 11 balls to be tampered with in the 90 seconds. Before the details of the video were known the NFL leaked information saying someone took the Patriots footballs to a room and was off camera for a period of time, insinuating this is when the cheating happened. Even though they KNOW it could not have happened at this time. The NFL is pushing a witch hunt with zero evidence to support it, and flat out lying about things.

Yep. Spygate had some substance behind it, but what the Patriots did was not against the rule.

It's like saying a speed limit is 20 when School is in session, and you get pulled over on Saturday when school is closed for going 30 and getting a ticket for going over 20. The Patriots found a way to skirt a rule and gain an advantage without actually breaking the rule, something they are extremely good at doing, and numerous rules have been changed because of the Patriots getting an advantage while following the rules because the rules were written poorly or when written no one thought about certain plays/tactics.

That's not cheating.

The first prediction. Tom may or may not have a cold.
The Pats win on Brady 3rd down completions and driving Bount up the middle. Wilfork shuts down Beastmode and Belichek is able to spy Wilson. Score..... 24-17 Pats.

Are U kidding me?

Have you taken your meds yet today?

I was pretty damn close. Seems my meds are just fine.

It was a really good game. The Pats earned it. Btw, I'm not a Pats fan. Niners actually but the Hawks were my AFC team way back.

The only reason the game was as close as it was was because of those damn red zone interceptions. You called it fairly well except Blount did not run as well as I thought.
