Let me introduce a small personal story that happened to me the past year.

Basically everything started with me falling asleep, seeing black figures and hearing weird voices.
I thought I was being paranoid but then started to research and found out it must have been sleep paralysis.
Having a diagnosis I felt a lot better considering there is not much I can do about it.

[snip]

I was in a really weird paranoic state where I heard people bully about me and all this casual #. It felt like me being a victim of a secret agenda for months. I didn't get out of a rut.

Out of being miserable and feeling me being in a "prison" I started to read about all the spiritual things and bought quite a few self-help books too. I always thought there is something hindering me because I thought people to be more asshole and worse in behaviour than me.

The self-help increased my self-eestem but something wasn't quite right. I was sure there was/is something I can't control.

Suddenly this girl started to appear in my life. She's a Theta-Healer. I didn't do much research but I thought I might give it a go.
Something obviously changed after this. I lay down for 30-45mins and she just laid down her hands on my forehead and I felt completely dizzy afterwards. I heard some crackles usually when I shook my jaw (like two stones being rubbed on each other) and during the healing I heard this big crackle from the side of my head. After the Healing, the Jaw never crackled again.
My desire to smoke cigarettes faded and all doubts and worries I had got recognized but seemed to immediately fall to the ground. I felt like a big child for a week and thought I was healed. The feeling faded.

She told me my chakra's were out of control and she balanced them pretty much. But my life continued. I've only been there three times so far and haven't been since but after reading some controversional things I will still continue to go there.

My third experience there was pretty weird. I laid down again and suddenly fell half asleep but I thought I was able to look around in the room with my eyes closed. She also said she was trying to fix something in my arm and my arm suddenly reacted with movements.

I thought going there was/is like a temporary healing but it was not the solution. I never asked her what she is exactly doing although I am interested because I felt it would influence the strength of the healing.

I am afraid this might sound all a little too weird so I basically continue..
Now there is the other part.
A girlfriend of mine who I've known for 4 months now does have some spiritual people at work who always tell her when she is feeling good or miserable. Considering the amount of time we've known and how good we are friends we must have a strong connection.

One woman from her work felt that she has "me" as her soulmate however decided to do "something" about us.
The next morning this woman came back to her work saying that there have been lots of souls/persons that are influencing us in a bad way so that she had to do the clearing "twice".

She told us to rub our hands and wave our arm above our heads afterwards to "protect" ourselves.
I figured out it must be something ancient but never found evidence.
My friend found out that she felt a headache at the same time the other woman from her work did this "clearing".
Due to my surprise I was still sceptical for a time but thought I might give this rubbing and # a go.

After weeks I realized that I never experienced the sleep paralysis properly again and suddenly realized a lot of people that have been quite distanced from me start to involve me bigtime again. I feel like being reliefed and feel like my intuition is a lot stronger than before.
Yesterday I suddenly was able to "look around" in the room again while my eyes were closed which after some research encouraged me to write this text.

Due to the abscence of sleep paralysis I think my third eye might have been awakened during the process (with the crackling) but on the other hand I can't imagine. It might have also already been awakened (due to the abscence of sleep paralysis after the mysterious cleaning)

Right now I can't actually feel bad about anything and people seem to react to that bigtime. The prison seems to be gone. Could someone please explain what happened? We lost contact to this colleague of my friend and what she did will probably ever stay unknown.

P.S: The text could have been written better but I will answer all questions if there are any

She cleared your ego out of the way. The abilities you speak of are dormant in all of us, it's belief to the contrary that limit us.

You had blockage in you, fear of the unknown basically. The powerful belief of someone free from those limitations allowed your innate abilities to manifest themselves.

The positive response and reconnection of others around you is a reflection of the connection with your higher self which basically gives you true self-belief again. Self-belief is LOVE and connection with source. It means you provide enough energy for yourself always and that makes your presence comforting.

Think of it this way, before you were a scone that needed to get the cream and jam from others.
Now you're the scone and the cream and the jam all by yourself, with some leftover to share.
People like scones and cream and jam.

Honestly, I don't know what she did. Spells work but likely she was working with other entities in order to achieve the desired effect. I hate to be that Jesus freak and all but, well, here I am anyway since belief in that is the only thing that's going to help you without a catch.

Granted, if that's not what you're into that's fine too. I'm not a church-goer myself. But then I wouldn't worry too much about what she did or whatever spirits were bothering you. I'd suggest trying to move on.

She herself didn't do anything. It's whatever entities she's contracted that did something. Her 'spirit guides' or whatever people like to call familiars nowadays, I'd wager.

You're probably very correct in saying that it's ancient, whatever she did.

Sorry I can't be of more help.

The ThetaHealing technique is always taught to be used in conjunction with conventional medicine. It teaches how to put to use one's own natural intuition, relying upon unconditional love of Creator Of All That Is to do the actual “work.” We believe by changing your brain wave cycle to include the “Theta” state, you can actually watch the Creator Of All That Is create instantaneous physical and emotional wellbeing. We have learned that through the ThetaHealing Technique intuitive abilities can be used to bring about spontaneous physical and emotional wellbeing.

Our philosophy is to live, train, and coach others how to achieve a better life through the pure essence of love. This technique allows us to work with the Creator to help attain harmony in our mind, body and spirit. We are best known for the 7 Planes of Existence. Using this concept, the practitioner uses the meditation technique to connect with a higher spiritual power of his/her own belief and commands a change as requested by that individual.

The ThetaHealing® technique is best described as an attainable miracle for your life.
"If there is only one energy-technique that you learn, let it be this one.. The ThetaHealing technique will change your life forever. The technique is so simple it is perfect. It does not demand anything from you, or that you give up any other teachings. The ThetaHealing technique transcends dogma and goes beyond all religions yet is accepting of them all. Just as Christ said, “All these things you can do and more," In the ThetaHealing technique you will learn that nothing is impossible if you dare to believe.

Seem to be another similar tool like Reiki/laying of hands. Connecting to the higher levels with your awareness using your body to push energy into another body for their benefit that brings calmness and remove energy blockage in the system.

The reason they call it theta is probably because of the theta brain waves.

According to this video:

Theta Brain Waves Information ( 4 to 8 Hz) :

•4.5 Hz - Brings about Shamanic/Tibetan state of consciousness, Tibetan chants.
•4.9 Hz - Induce relaxation and deeper sleep
•4.9 Hz - Introspection. Relaxation, meditation
•5 Hz - Reduces sleep required. Theta replaces need for extensive dreaming
•5.35 Hz - Allows relaxing breathing, free and efficient
•5.5 Hz - Inner guidance, intuition
•6.5 Hz - Centre of Theta frequency. Activates creative frontal lobe
•7.5 Hz - Activates creative thought for art, invention, music. Problem solving
•7.5 Hz - Ease of overcoming troublesome issues
•7.83 Hz - Schumann earth resonance. Grounding, meditative, Leaves you revitalized
•3 - 8 Hz - Deep relaxation, meditation. Lucid dreaming
•3 - 8 Hz - Increased memory, focus, creativity
•4 - 7 Hz - Profound inner peace, emotional healing. Lowers mental fatigue
•4 - 7 Hz - Deep meditation, near-sleep brainwaves

---------------- What are theta brainwaves? ---------------

Theta brainwaves are considered extremely relaxing brainwave activity that is commonly associated with sleep and dreaming. Theta brainwaves are high in amplitude and cycle within the range of 4 -- 8 Hz and are usually generated in the brains right hemisphere. Theta waves kick in when we feel emotional, relaxed, daydreamy, unfocused, or are asleep. Theta brainwaves are generally thought of as the brainwaves that are dominant in people with A.D.D., high levels of relaxation, high levels of creativity, and random thinking. The theta brainwave is considered the brainwave pattern that is dominant in deeply relaxed, dream sleep.

Theta brain waves typically range from 4 Hz to 8 Hz. Theta brain waves are associated with the "subconscious mind" and are usually produced in the right-hemisphere of the brain - as opposed to beta brain waves, which are produced in the left-hemisphere and are associated with the "conscious mind." The brain creates theta brain wave rhythms each time you are in "dream sleep." Also, during R.E.M. [Rapid-Eye Movement] sleep, the brain is full of theta brain wave activity.

Sounds like you've gotten into a detached state of mind frame more or less, which I believe becomes common after meditating after a certain period. How detached one becomes may mean they have gone deeper into the psyche, where they become less distracted by common distractions or annoyances, and possibly just couldn't care even if they wanted. It can mentally be disturbing especially for emotional people, if one has never had the experience, where the ideas of emotions, such as love and such become less desirable.

There is one Yogi Guru I had read about in a book, where he describes the state of detachment after having a strange event of consciousness, and where he goes through a turbulent storm of personal and emotional questions. Where as he had lost the motivation to attain material success and leave his responsibilities to practice Yoga like a hermit. I've had one profound experience that lasted sometime, years ago, mid-summer of 2011, where I had a tried binural beats for the first time after many months of meditating and practicing to reiki music from the internet.

The binural I had used at the time was a gamma one, and from I've read and been told, I may have synced really well to it at the time. My brain felt like it was almost brand new and didn't belong to me but it did. It felt like my head was radiating at the top of my skull, where as I had a powerful feeling overcoming me, but what words to describe is kind of hard to formulate. It had felt invigorating, calm, as well as blissful, with a weird taste to it( and not the metallic kind). It was one of the few profound experiences I've ever had, but have only come close to getting that feeling like that again only once or twice after many months had passed.

As for the third eye, I wouldn't go into all the hype about it, it quite over rated if you must know, but great if one can ever understand the practice that goes with it. Think of Zen instead when it comes to it, but where all other practices and experiences become intertwined with the Zen ideals. (As if that made sense)

I just wish theres more of a science to meditation and the different practices being explained like it were art and practical, or maybe I wish I had a brain reader to see "WHAT THE HELL" I've been doing sometimes.

O, I don't like believing in the idea of magic, not that I hate it, but I find it rather misleading and vague really. Also it pretty lazy like a religion to ever attempt explaining things.

How about a big personal story. Small ones just don't do it.
