Mesopotamia is a Greek word meaning 'between the rivers'. The rivers are the Tigris and Euphrates which flow through modern Iraq. The Euphrates also flows through much of Syria.
Assyria,Babylonia and Sumer are all the nations that make up for Mesopotamia.I could not begine to describe all the differences between these nations as they have such an extensive variation in cultural and beliefs That are absolutely fascinating.

It's so easy for many now to look upon Iraqi people as primitive,but make no mistake about it,that would be utterly ignorant and very small minded to do so.
Early civilizations first developed in Mesopotamia over six thousand years ago. Some of the first cities were established, a writing system was developed, empires were created and monumental buildings were constructed...
