Is this picture proof - Man is already on Mars?

When I first saw the picture from an independent source - I really thought that it was a picture of the moon and an astronaut cleaning equipment on the moon lander or something similar. Until I found the link to NASA and the raw photo. The photo was taken on Mars!

Is this evidence that we've already sent people to Mars? Or perhaps, that aliens already occupy it?

It looks, like an astronaut cleaning off the lens of the rover. It really does to my eye. Is there a more mundane explanation?

I'm really interested in everyone's thoughts on this one.

Awww, okay then. I didn't realize. It was the first time I'd come across the image and I didn't catch the other thread.

The people live under the surface of mars, when they hear your instruments approaching they hide themselves. They could disable your instruments if they wanted to.
