I have a hamsa... as my right hand.

I have had several lucid dreams throughout my entire life. I have had dreams about my own future several times. Though they may be insignificant, I have never witnessed this in a dream before.

Last night I dreamed about wanting to die. But I had a change of thought when I began walking out into a world that didn't care. I took a bus out to the middle of a city. I walked towards a fast food restaurant and as I approached the door I looked at my right hand.

I did not expect to see an eye ball in the middle of my palm.

I drew a sketch of what I saw in my dream and decided to search for this. I found out this concept is of a hamsa. Like the dream suggested, the hamsa is the right opened hand with the eye of Horus in the palm. This eye is used to stare back into the evil eye.

But my hamsa was much diferrent.

In my dream I shook up my hand causing the eye ball to jumble around. As it twisted and turned I could see several written or inscribed symbols on it. Each of them were complete thoughts or sentences in a vast array all around the eye at different angles.

I looked at the back of my hand for a brief moment and noticed it looked completely normal. But my palm still had the eye inside of it. Then it hit me. I have never once looked at my hands in my dreams before.

The written inscriptions I could not understand. But they had an almost neon glow that radiated from them. One was blue, another was green, one was black, and two of them were red.

I don't know what this meant but the eye fixated in a certain position when I touched one of the inscriptions. When I turned to face another direction, the inscription would stay level but, the eye pointed at what ever it may have been. Almost like calypso's compass, only it told me what I could seek.

When I followed the path the eye pointed me in something would happen. But that is as far as the dream goes. I only followed the eye to a bus. And the rest of the dream went crazy.

Many years ago I had a dream that a black cricket laid an egg in the palm of my hand and it embedded itself and turned into a hamsa. I kept showing everyone in the dream but no one seemed interested. When I woke up the center of my palm itched for days. I had never heard of a hamsa until many years later, although throughout the years I had seen the eye in the palm, I never knew what it meant.

I am still unclear about it's full meaning, but I know it meant something.

i read that seeing your own hands indicates it was a willful Lucid Dream

OK, 5 symbols/runes/foreign language script, probably in a spiral around the eye image...

Since this is a Lucid Dream, your Psyche is presenting you an insight...the 5 symbols in different colors which were directed to different directions is the code to be deciphered...
the answers to your research quests are portrayed in this exotic-symbolic "calypso's compass"

Since it is a Lucid dream and not a regular dream... the focus point was not related to your health/well being/sustainability.... but on an academic theme

In Closing:
good luck with your quest, vision quest, thesis, research with 5 pathways of endeavor....whatever you are invested in, be it spirituality, behavior-psychology, et al

I wrote down my entire recollection of the dream in my book. I did enter the fast food restaurant to place an order, and when I did I was trying to freak out the server by handing her the money a certain way. I figured maybe she would freak out. But she didn't even flinch or twitch. She was the only person I showed it to. The rest of my dream was pretty crazy. I can even recall seeing an amusement park when I exited the transportation labyrinth.

I can even recall what I ordered and how she messed up ringing it up.

I have had several dreams where I could fly at will. I have also been able to manipulate changes of scenery. But mostly what I have been trying to do is enter a gray area within my mind. Dreaming of my own future only happens if my mind races into it.

If you mean spiral like a hypnotic twist? No. They were like short paragraphs mostly consisting of two sentences or lines. They possibly had only a few words to them. My sketch would explain it better. The symbols I used as reference for inscription are of my own design. It is a written language that I have created myself.

My Hamsa Sketch

"I don't know what this meant but the eye fixated in a certain position when I touched one of the inscriptions. When I turned to face another direction, the inscription would stay level but, the eye pointed at what ever it may have been. Almost like calypso's compass, only it told me what I could seek. "

your guess is as good as mine. My thought was it saw future events happening that were perceived by the eye as good or bad. Whether it was in my best interest or not is the big question. Maybe it truly is in the perception of Horus, or an entity. Which is a bigger question if it is not horus. Is the entity good or bad?

I am not sure if this hamsa is meant as either a ward, or guidance. I couldn't make out the the words.
