You may call me 'dogma' or anything you wish, if I may call you ... er...heck, 'strangecottagecheese' is a great name, but a mouthful... pun intended, so howz 'bout just a normal, pronouny 'you?'

I love me the gnostics... and with a comic-book-hero name like 'john lash,' his views gotta hold some weight! So I will gladly spend part of my work day reading... and weighing... it (and thus technically not really a 'work' day)... but that's the whole dang problem with ALL this stuff... it exists, or happens, but attaching a defining label is hard... though the basic storyline and description is fairly, or at least sort-of, consistent.

I, too would be a fool (and am, much of the time) if I didn't consider all the viewpoints... or that some people have decent sources of info that don't involve a lab. So thank you for the link and your refreshing open mind.

Interdimentional beings, evil spirits, what's the difference? 2mg of Risperdal a day should make them go away, though.

I don't want to sound rude, but there is something I have to ask. You say " I have hearing aids which have helped me develop or enhance my clairauduent ability" I am intrigued by that statement. I also wear hearing aids and have done since I learnt to crawl. Apart from the old body worn hearing aids in which I learnt that I could listen in to taxi and police radio chatter when they were close by, when I had the loop on and considered as great fun as a child, I have never had paranormal experiences with them whatsoever.

How does it work with yours then? I just don't think it is possible to use hearing aids as conductors of some sort in this fashion.

I have found that my hearing aids helped me develop (and I don't know how Clair's of any kind are developed) opened up something, especially when I was learning to listen to evps. I can take them off and still hear things, not whole conversations mind you but words spoken by something else around me. It almost seems to be a frequency that my mind tunes into, it is difficult to explain. I also had my aids upped to the highest level possible without damage to my ears but still louder than normal hearing and had the lowest level of hearing put on lower than your average hearing. It is those frequencies that I can hear other things. I also worked on developing my clairaudeient ability. There is some work involved with developing any Clair unless you are one of those very few that are born with them already developed. Also I have inverted ear drums and that may have something to do with it, I don't know. And when it goes beyond what I can hear clairaudiently either with or without aids (there is a distance limit at least with me) I go to audio recordings and can somehow pick out EVPs, or use a parabolic mic to hear way below or way above my hearing with and without aids. I think listening to evps somehow developed my ability and there is a learning curve with that and it takes time. reply to: Wirral Bagpuss

I don't know what to tell you except in my case it is not negativity nor fear that they claim they need for survival, it's blood. I also don't think you have to have or be a negative person to attract the kind that like negativity. Is it like attracts like or is it opposites attract? To acknowledge negativity doesnt require negative thought or paranoia, it also doest require "belief". It just requires consideration.

Consider it considered, then... I'm in a weird, uncommon position with my worldview...or lack of one.

I am (relatively) grounded and have a love for science... curiosity driven, real science... yet I've run into things termed 'ghosts' as well as somethings that seemed different... more powerful and with a truly lousy and smartly devious disposition... but I don't have a religious background to provide my answers and science cannot measure it... yet.

So I guess I'm either ineffectively confused or in a better position to judge the reality (or not) of the possible situation... that remains to be seen, though as far as the nastier invisible critters... I hope to never have that experience again.

How to classify that which is...at the moment, unclassifiable? And to confuse the matter more, most would assume it's all mental illness, which also exists... sigh.

Ghosts, interdimensional beings, angels, demons, they all are the same thing:

Spirits.

Spirits are as various in skills and characters as are human beings and other living creatures. If you want to know more about the subjects of spirits; why some of them are actually nefarious, lying and manipulative, I recommend you to read the works of Allan Kardec, a great specialist of the subject from the 19th century.



Also the main/only power of the spirits is the power of belief. Spirits are only as powerful as they convince you they are. This is the hardest part when dealing with them, you have to understand that truly, they hold no power over you but the one you give them with your beliefs.

There are plenty of complicated ways to deal with nefarious spirits such as theurgy, exorcism, banishing rituals, etc. but they all revolve around the same mechanism: making you change your beliefs in a direction that is more favorable to you. If you can understand that, you will have total control over spirits the moment you learn to control your beliefs, and you can even do that without all the complicated rituals. Rituals are only there to help you change your beliefs, get this.



A very simple and powerful banishing ritual would be to ridicule these entities and laugh at them. Picture them as little pranksters who had a good joke at your expense, realize that it was you who gave them all that power over you by buying their tricks, and laugh at the ridicule of the whole situation. You, a reasonable and sovereign individual, manipulated by formless pranksters into believing they have any power over you whatsoever.

It was intriguing and scary while you were believing it, but now is the time you reclaim your power back and realize these pests are mere mosquitoes you can squash with a simple laugh at them if you feel like they abuse you

All good points and very similar or in some cases the same as my advisor told me and I believe there is truth to what you say.

I will say one thing, I won't trust a child spirit ever again and feel sorry for those who might come to me sincerely asking for help.
