Ideals - a poem

I present a conglomeration of my thoughts in the form of a poem to all of you here on ATS. Enjoy!

Ideals

We live in a world full of constant distraction,
With beeping phones sure to incite a reaction.

A civilization entombed by constant stress;
Being judged daily on how we choose to dress.

Children being forced to grow up too fast,
And witnessing horrors that leave them aghast.

Is this how you would choose to live?

Or would you opt for a little more leisure;
A world more centered on pleasure.

A place where the needs of the many outweighed those of a few.
A life less full of constant ado.

It may seem impossible, and so far out of reach.
But just listen, to all of you I beseech.

These things are possible, not tomorrow but today.

With a little more love, and a lot less greed,
These ideals are sure to succeed.
