So when, exactly, did this age of enlightenment happen? I must have missed it. I am pretty sure it was not before my time (see WWII, WWI, civil war etc etc etc) and I do not believe I slept through it.... My draft number the last year of the draft was 18. That should give you some idea how much history I have seen and I have yet to see this age of enlightenment of which you speak.

I think that due to this age of information and the dissemination of such at lightning speed is making us more aware of things we did not have shoved in our faces day in and day out.

There are a couple of high profile earthquakes in the world and immediately people are talking about them happening at greater rates...or bigger ones. A couple of natural disasters by weather convinces many that nature has gone mad, and, apparently, man is at fault!

This is not the information age: It is the age of "the sky is falling". Or maybe, the Age of Chicken Little!

More information is not the same as an increase in natural disasters...not the same as more wars than ever before, and certainly not the same as man's inhumanity to man has increased. We have just become more aware of the problems that are served up daily to us on the platter provided by the internet and 24 hour news media.

I could list more. As far as viruses go, not even on my radar. Malware is an inconvenience - this war is for net neutrality, and even THAT term has been repurposed and is now inherently evil in it's intent.

I don't follow you or get the point of this topic but am interested anyway. But I just wanted to add it's viruses/malware that creates botnetworks which are then sold/hired for DDOS attacks. I just don't see anything big happening soon, except ofcourse the robotic revolution that is coming which will cost millions of jobs or divide society overnight in those using robots (the rich technocrats) and those not using robotics or not as much (the 99%?).

I don't believe cyber attacks will amount to anything large ever, I imagine parts of the internet (those containing most of the bots in a network) would be cut off in a day if there were actual massive attacks targeted at key infrastructure. Sure, maybe if a WW3 would emerge it might be used as part of an initial strike but even then it would equate to people not getting their newspaper for a day. No doubt it would cost a lot of money to businesses and individuals but it's not much more than nuisances.

A better way to use the internet would be misdirection by having spies/soldiers pose as civilians posting/emailing false information about troop movements knowing it will get intercepted.

Anyway I don't see the cyberthreat, besides ofcourse the usual of viruses/malware/ransomware/denial of service but that's one of the reasons to keep backups and it's typically fixable within a working day (with a good disaster recovery plan). I am worried about viruses which can damage hardware, then viruses would become a serious problem.

Well I respect your passion, but let's remember that once one bully is removed on the block, the next in line who was always a bully too, and who just had to cut a few more corners because of being 2nd place, will then without a doubt step into the position of the 1st place bully. But yeah back to what you suggested? Honestly I have no interest in any life altering, crazy suicidal actions against powerful people, would be jerks or innocent imbeciles. Good or bad, I support the United States of America first. Now, I may want to change a lot of things, and I may not like a lot of things, but I love my Country, and the few fools who are currently running it will not change my opinion on that.

Honestly, I travel into those Mountains for one reason, and one reason only, and that is to enjoy the fresh, white and dry powder flowing under my Snowboard as I shoot down a mountain cornice my friend. I'm not even sure why people fall into the hoopla, this stuff immediately goes to "Brics" taking over and secret deals with China and Russia and all that stuff.

Let me the list a myriad of reasons as to "why" none of this is the case.

1: UN, he is looking for nothing other than parity and to maintain the threat of "North Korea" that keeps him in charge, a bunch of Russian Jets "once again" makes a threat viable, all along all that artillery made North Korea scary, the ability to strike down Seoul SK with a bombardment, the reality is even with Nukes anti missile systems the US Navy and other factors have made this threat not nearly what it once was, if we want to, we'll see the second he launches and have the capacity to simply stop him dead in place, the Jets.... they just "reopen" Un for business... what does he want? The capacity to destroy Seoul as being the price to pay for trying to unseat him... "Having Nukes" doesn't mean they are undetectable before launch via any missile.

What else is UN missing? a Viable sponsor state we don't want war with, for a long time now... a long time nobody would deal with them, I don't know what anyone is thinking but China is now called a Traitor State in NK, the Chinese have straight up massed on their borders, there is no friend in China and there is no great alliance of any kind with Russia and China and definitely not India the largest democracy in the world...

None f this sponsor state or not means UN will use Nukes or anything else... it is a deterrent to a very ambitious USA from regime change and in the end just a small reassertion of the status quo of the last 60 years or so for "the other guys" I lived with this most of my life, didn't really expect it to go away forever nor do I until the people of NK rise against dear leader

2: No one likes Islam, these are separate situations, while for purposes of controlling the advancement of the agendas of the USA, various factions might "speak" alignment but... lets please be real, America doesn't mess with China that much not in retrospect to our money dealings, the LAST the very LAST thing China wants is empowerment in the Islamic nations around it, sure encourage a USA headache sometimes, but your talking about a Billion people who are absolutely not religious, let alone wanting a devout group in their midst, it's no coincidence China (and they did) propped us up through the whole "War on terror" Business...A strange socialist/capitalist fusion goes swimmingly in China and balance between Europe, Russia and America by politic and economy is vital,Islam however isn't part of the picture for them...or Japan, or Russia or South Korea or even Kazakhstan at this point lol...

To reply if I may to some of those,
1) I've heard of hacking but I'm not familiar with What systems were brought down . Can you just point me in the right direction?
2) Would it be safe to say that your interest in fringe websites,like this one simply make you are aware of them having technical errors? I mean how do you know that sites pertaining to young moms and child developement didn't experience the same number of technical glitches.?
3) In the same note those Johnny on the spots need to make more corrections to their stories. Breaking news these days is seconds after an event but accuracy is sacrificed.
Your list is daunting and I'll have to do some homework to see if I can see a connection or just how serious these issues really are.
The internet is going to keep evolving. The more cultures we connect with the more risks we take but pioneers always face risks so that a trail can be blazed in the future. Mankind is really fond of big come-backs!

But we've been living in a PR war for a long time now. It's just the battle has come to our doorstep thanks to the improved ways we taken and view media. We've always seen other nations and local media having their little info battles. But a lot of us here already knew it was going to get really bad when the propaganda ban was lifted.

Yeah buddy, this is how I've been feeling for several years now. The best way for me to describe it verbally, is that I feel as though pressure is building up, and something is about to "pop". It's also like a car with it's gas pedal stuck to the floor, and it's driving right at a big wall.

As far NK is concerned, I'm not going to sit here and say that information regarding deals with Russia are completely credible, nor will I say the same for an invasion of the South.

Maybe Major Ed Dames was right. He did stress a set of specific events that would occur before the "Killshot Sequence", and one of them was literally North Korea nuking South Korea.
Now I'm not saying Dames and his remote viewing program are 100% credible. One must always be skeptical and ask questions, and never believe what you see right away. It's just interesting to note this, along with other seemingly accurate psychics and "seers" who have pointed to the same exact thing happening (most of whom said it would be this year or next year).
My theory on consciousness is fairly in line with Dames' claim of how remote viewing works. I believe that human consciousness may exist outside of time space, therefore enabling one to see "time" from various perspectives.
If this theory is actually true, that would explain how remote viewing would be possible.
Sorry to get off topic a bit. Anyways, time will tell, you know? I just find it to be radically foolish for North Korea to invade the South, let alone launch a nuclear campaign against anyone really. Then again, though, their "government" is comprised of a bunch of wack jobs who don't seem to think before they act or speak (e.g., The propaganda ads that were put out showing the US getting attacked by the NK military, depictions of the Capitol in flames).

I would just like to point out that the robotic revolution, as you put it, does not eliminate jobs at the rate you suggest. I am intimately knowledgeable about a particular instance of automation in a factory in the south. Machines that, at one time, had to be fed (raw stock) manually and at the finished end, had the finished product stacked manually were either upgraded with automation equipment, or outright replaced by newer machines that featured automation.

At the beginning of the process, the number of factory floor employees held pretty steady in the 90-100 range. Once he automation was complete, the number of employees was still in the 90-100 range. How is this possible? Simply that even automatic equipment requires a human presence to set-up, to maintain...the product still requires quality checks, testing etc. Granted, the level of training and education rose somewhat, but the main reason for the justification of the automation was greater throughput.

In other words, automation through robotics allows for faster, increased productivity. The goal is not to replace people but to increase productivity and efficiency.

I am sure that my anecdote does not hold true for all cases, but I am also equally sure that it holds true for many. I am also equally sure that in the cases where jobs are lost that they are mostly replaced with technical jobs. Someone has to maintain the equipment, someone has to run and set-up the equipment in the case of retooling etc.

Bottom line, that plant spent money on increasing productivity in a plant that was already running 24 hours/day by over 25% without having to add to the plant (in terms of additional productions space etc) and managed to do it without reducing the workforce one bit.

Ergo: robots and the use thereof are not inherently evil, no matter what people would have you believe. The loss of production jobs in America is not due to robotization, but due to plant closings.

With regards to NK, the most dangerous of circumstance, IMO, is the condition of the masses. More starvation, more deprivation etc makes revolution more likely. By the same turn, it creates a situation where leadership will take ever increasingly radical decisions to maintain power.

It would not be the first time that a govt, or leadership, created a war to prevent a revolution, in a manner of speaking.

Bottomline, as suicidal as an attack on the south may be for the north, if backed into a corner that may be their only perceived way of maintaining power.....No one has ever referred to NK leadership as being stable and extremely sane.

If the automation reduces employees at a rate of one every year via improvement in technology and there are 100 employees comes the turn of the next century someone better still have some Asimov books at the local library.

I used to make a couple hundred G a year in print... the came digital printers, I used to make a couple of hundred G a year in webdesign, now the new software runs on AI, down to a whopping 32G currently. I'm starting to build apps but oh wait... they are compiling all code now into an auto complete form that finishes lines for you that will cut those jobs to 1/3, I was thinking that I would just go into construction or something get my hands dirty in the real world again but then I saw a Chinese company "Print" 30 houses in a day with one large 3-d printer, since i'm familiar with Cad I figured maybe there was work to be found designig the houses but alas.... there are only so many layouts needed and a 17 year old in China can do it on 3-d home architect...

I'm exaggerating in fairness lol

but I think your underestimating the issue... AI only gets better, machines running machines and writing code is a "my lifetime" issue, 3-d printers will inevitably beat up even Walmart

There is a new paradigm needed for a fully automated, ai backed free energy world... and it IS coming sooner or later unless we blow ourselves up.

They say, NK or Russia is planning out big plot with heavy arsenal. Isn't this obvious? What about West or SK's preparation? aren't they ready for whatever the consequences will be? What if NKians and Russians are only preparing themselves from the unwanted interventions from the US or SK or it's allies? Who's gonna show up with these exceptional articles? You know, every News sources are somewhat BIAS to manipulate or mislead info to those like us who just want to read some trustful news. Of course and obviously they're amid conflicts so they're ready for it. The World fairly is at WAR just waiting for that 1 strong reason to access permit them from dropping the first NUKE down.
