Indeed, I just did, (re-) read it I mean, and it turns out I had already starred and flagged it, so I must have read it and somehow forgotten all about it. My first (or rather second) impression was, «Hm, looks just about right, hm, can't seem to find anything to pick on really. There are many good examples of what happens when an embargo is made on certain products. During the War, the Allies managed to cut off the supply of opium to Nazi-Germany, and what happened? The Nazis developed metadon instead. Another example is when Egypt put a ban on papyrus export way back, for what happened? Parchment was developed by the Greeks and Egypt lost its monopoly on "paper".

As far as you remember, you; in your shy modesty state: War is big bucks. Yes; so is an economic depression for some. It is easy to sit here 70 years later with hindsight tell the truth be told, as you say "Where there is money to be made there is money to be made" you neglected to also say "Where there is money to be made is money to be made"; as in GRAB YOUR DIVIDEND (if you break the law, you are breaking the law (no consequences as is just WORDS repeated to form a redundant statement). I think you might be confused regarding the 'paper' thing. Paper is/was traditionally made of cotton or woody fibers. Papyrus/parchment is made of reeds or bull rushes (maybe some palm fronds thrown in).

Question, was the Socialist agenda *by the state* in confiscating the wealth of private property owners ever redistributed fairly amongst the poor (I would imagine the plan was to level or restructure the playing fields). Sure; and in the film version Gregory Peck played 'Atticus' the father figure, Scout the daughter, Robert Duval as Boo Radley; Dell, the boy living in the mansion with his Auntie down the street was based upon Truman Capote. Harper Lee and Truman Capote were childhood friends (lived in the same Mississippi town); he railed upon this fact until his death, "You never credited me as being the basis for/of Dell's character". Harper Lee helped him/went to Kansas with him in order to facilitate the writing of "In Cold Blood". Children seem to love me; they run to me and hug me even though I could be (by a prudent parents warnings) perceived as a potential 'stranger danger' not so. 'My kind' gets the sort of trust from children (and animals as well) that allows for those impetuous purely spontaneous responses. Not sure how 'decadence' thick with layers applies.
