I posted in another thread earlier today wondering why.... of all the countries we have bombed in the Middle East.... why have we not bombed the Saudis?

We will, once the Saudi King and the crown prince both die.

Tough nut to crack.

The House of Saud

They have a rich history.

And how do we know for sure their roots are entirely Muslim?

Again, let's just assume they too are Muslims.

I agree with much of your post Heff......

I am however of the opinion, having been there and seen with my own eyes the extremism, that there is a real threat...

Im sure there are many players behind the scenes.....

But the thing is, I dunno how people can say this isnt authentic, when this has been going on for a very very long time....

We are just the newest players on the stage, the extremist Muslim factions have been committing atrocities in the middle east and other places for ages.....

I am very glad to see though, many of the Muslim rank and file standing up and speaking out against what happened in France this week.....

It is our job to let them know that we stand WITH THEM, in denouncing this. They need to know that we are not against them, and that we have their back.....

The gentleman that is in my Avatar, was a Muslim police officer that was shot and killed trying to stop these terrorists......

I get the people that are standing with the Je suis Charlie.........but me.....Ill stand next to Ahmed, they are in this fight too RIP brother.

Let's assume that backwards 12 century thinking is going to bring them down. Now, what about that other problem? You know, the government?

No need to call you anything dude.
I agree.
Education again is the key.
It is the answer to so many of our problems...but people in power know that and either restrict it or doctor it to their own agenda.

Even if you buy the idea that it was right to fight back against America, that wasn't what they did. They attacked innocent French citizens. So they are just as bad as she accused the Americans of being. For her reasoning to have weight, she ought to be in a place like Afghanistan striking out against proper American military targets.

So true, hell we see it in our own country......how horrible has our education system gotten?

You know the other day I was talking to my Niece who graduated highschool, and her boyfriend......neither one knew armadillos were real......neither had heard of the Alamo, They couldnt tell me who we fought in world war 2, they didnt know which side was called what in the civil war.....

They couldnt point out on the map where England was........

The list goes on, but the point is even in first world countries the education system is broken, and honestly I feel like its by design.......they flat out said much of that stuff wasnt really covered, instead they have implemented other classes that are borderline useless.......

A dumb populace is a dependent populace......

Sad really

Indeed, I was the only one in my office who knew the South fired on the North at the Battle of Ft. Sumpter opening the Civil War. Our company almost released that click date on our published material as being the other way around!

When I pointed it out, everyone looked at me funny. I thought it was common knowledge and something that was part of everyone's basic education like the opening shots of the Revolution. Apparently not.

Islam does not require killing as part of its operational "meme". Fascist leaders (who are no doubt atheists themselves) have twisted Islam to suit their needs, which include control.

Terrorism is also a very convenient bogyman as it is very hard to define and stamp out.

A phony evil to justify doing dirty work is one of the oldest tricks in the book.

I feel the genie is out of the bottle and people are waking up every single day. The internet (if it doesn't get regulated) has done wonders for world wide communication. The genie is everywhere now. One day all the lies are going to click. You think it's bloody now?

I'm guessing the Kool Aid tastes better than the acrid truth.

Depends entirely on which flavor you fancy most.

What are you drinking tonight?

Thats really sad , but again goes to show where we stand as a society when we forget our own history......

Like someoen else stated I do believe education is the key.......

If it was NOT the key, the the hardlined Muslims wouldnt want to keep their women from it

Being willfully oblivious to reality, no matter how well phrased or worded, does not make a new reality.

On a real level? It appears to me and has for some time that with the radical sort its really about racism, tribalism, culturalisim. Even our own homegrown version of Islam in the US is known primarily as an anti white, anti jew, alternative cultural identification that embraces Islam to give itself distinction.

Any time religion is involved whackos will act accordingly. I blame religion, Christianity, Islam etc. It's pretty sad we are in twenty first century and humans still cling to books for crap that is common sense. People brainwashed their kids into believing a crazy theory and then wonder why the world is so insane. If all religion was banned worldwide tomorrow the world will be a safer place. It's freaking absurd and does nothing but give idiots the power to look down on others because they don't read the same book.

to believe that if religion was gone humanity wouldnt find another conviction or belief system to wage war over is about as wrong as you can get....

unfortunately we have yet to evolve to a place where we wont find something to kill each other over......

Religion isnt the issue, human nature is...love and tolerance is the cure.....not the banning of beliefs

But here is the gigantic white elephant in the room. The question few seem to ask and most don't even understand. If we are at war with "terror" - assuming "terror" to be a code for radicalized Islam, then why are we still allied to Saudi Arabia, the birthplace of radicalized Islam? Why are our reporters not covering the fact that Saudi Arabia is the home of Wahhabism, also called Salafi. This is the heart of Islam and the home of Shariah law.

Saudi Arabia, and Iran is the home of radicalized Islam.

Sunni versus the Shia.

The Wahabbists versus the 12ers.

Doesn't matter what group name anyone wants to call them.

They are nothing but a bunch of 'right' wing neocons clinging to their guns, and religion.

Saudi Arabia, right along with their cousins needs to be listed on the state sponsors of terror, and sanctioned.

And that INCLUDES Russia,China, and Pakistan.

But to put it bluntly no one has the snips to do what needs to be done.

We might hurt their poor wittle feelings.

Meanwhile the slaughter of innocents continue.

What we saw on 911.

What we have seen in Syria.

What we have been seeing in Iraq recently.

What we saw in Pakistan recently.

What we saw in Canada.

What we saw in Australia.

What we saw in the UK.

And what we saw yesterday in France.

The slime of humanity needs to be dealt with accordingly.

And what has transpired since has done more damage than the Patriot Act did.

People are afraid to criticize radical Islam more so than ever before.

I'm sorry Heff, but you are mistaken. Just as all the politicians are mistaken.

Islam is a snake that enters a rabbit's den to keep warm in the winter. The snake takes advantage of the friendly rabbit's warm home until spring when it's warm outside. Then it eats the rabbit.

You say you want to cut through the crap??
Well here you go; the truth about Islam:

The only reason why everyone raises their hands in agreement is because of peer pressure. The same thing happens when an applause breaks out at an event. Usually everyone else follows suit. You stand out if you don't participate with the mass majority. Sometimes you'll even be threatened or harassed if you don't. In that crowd of men there are those that hold an extremist view of their religion and there are those that are only doing it to please their family and friends.

There is however a major difference between Christianity and Islam with their holy leaders/prophets. It's their view on violence.

Jesus - "For all who take the sword will perish by the sword."

Muhammad - "Fight and kill the disbelievers wherever you find them, take them captive, harass them, lie in wait and ambush them using every stratagem of war."

The other elephant in the room is this: We go in. Someone else goes in. Who winds up with the oil?

Right now the oil is in third party hands. You can bet your dollars that the great powers of the world in part allow this to continue as it has because so long as they can agree to let a hostile to everyone third party have it, they don't have to worry too much about coming to blows over it. It's an increasingly unstable point of stability between the super powers basically with the Saudis as a fulcrum.

It's going to go, and the latest oil games are not making this a stronger point.
