23Thus he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdom upon earth, which shall be diverse from all kingdoms, and shall devour the whole earth, and shall tread it down, and break it in pieces.
Now could it be that the rise of terrorism is the "fourth kingdom" spoken of by Daniel the prophet? Daniel does speak of how the fourth kingdom will be diverse from all kingdoms, that is, it will be different. Further, he clearly indicates that the fourth kingdom shall devour the whole earth.
24And the ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise: and another shall rise after them; and he shall be diverse from the first, and he shall subdue three kings.
And what about these ten kings. Could the first be Bin-Laden? The second Omar? The third Zarqawi?
25And he shall speak great words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.
Could the crying out of Allah Akbar, God is Great, just prior to the slaughter, or beheading of another so called infidel be "speaking great words against the most High"?
Do the terrorists not seek wear out their enemies, to change established times???, but more obviously, laws?

I think it's the Roman Empire...specifically the Catholic church. They have followers from all over the world.
The ten horns were ten nations, three of which were defeated. I think the Vandals was one of them, and I think another was Ostrogoths--I'm kind of rusty on this. They were defeated by the Roman Empire if I remember right.
Suffice it to say the RCC has its fingers in a lot of pies.
