IT is due to ALL THESE FACTORS WHY A SINGLE PERSON CANNOT LIVE OFF OF 15 AN HOUR: To HIGH OF.......Taxes,Medical Insurance, Car insurance, State Taxes, Local Taxes, Outrageous Rent, Paying for medical insurance that it does NOT COVER, PILLS, CO-PAYS,Tabs, To HIGH phone bills for a lousy 500 minutes everyone needs a phone for emergencies and stuff. Gas is to HIGH, Milk is even higher AND EVERYTHING ELSE GOES UP WHEN THE MINIMUM WAGE GOES UP. WHAT A JOKE. A never ending cycle of HELL we all have to put up with so others can PROFIT off of our headaches. This is your life if you make 15 and under these days in this society. US dissabled people have to go thru it even more so.

It's what happens next that he probably doesn't like. Check out history.

Government steps in and breaks up the monopolies.

Yup, that's what happens next. I think this will be the 5th cycle of Anti-Trust bull# our country is dealing with, and it has to be reset every few years.

I imagine it will start in the 2020s.

"Too big to fail" there will be no more monopoly breaking before the collapse. That time is past.

As soon as they deemed corps too big to fail the monopoly laws went the way of the dodo.

Whats the solution?

1) Don't take advice from people who aren't rich.

One question.

Are you rich?

Why is it important for you to ask me that question? What is the honest reason you want the answer?

Well, because you just gave a big list of advice that started with "Don't take advice from people who aren't rich." If you aren't rich, then the rest of your advice is garbage, right?

Cool.... if your intent is to really better yourself, and learn, that's awesome.

That said, whatever I tell you about me on an anonymous internet forum doesn't mean anything. I could be some broke ass loser giving you advice. Look at the list I came up with and see if those points make sense to you. You couldn't know if I was rich, or how much money I have.

Find people around you. Read books. Model people who've already achieved what you want to achieve.

Re your other question, inflation begins with money supply. Increasing wages to increase demand is going to increase prices. It's part of the reason inflation adjusted wages are lower now than 30 years ago.

I've been all over the talking points everyone made. Years ago. That's why I'm living the way I do. No one owes you a living. You owe it to yourself to make one. How you go about it isn't any of my business. I like the way it is now for me.

I can honestly say 15 dollars an hour is better than no dollars. Don't take my lifestyle as easy or me being a user. I set the wheels in motion so I could live this way. No one promised you fair. You play the cards life dealt you. Insight into the future does go a long way. You can say I perceive the future differently but I'm content. We agree to disagree. I'm old and don't really care enough about society as I once did. Years go by and it wears at you. Molds you into what you become. I don't wish any ill will on others but they do have a responsibility to themselves.

I'll trade you some Bok Choy for dye to get this grey out of my beard.

Fact, INFLATION is caused by overspending on the budget. AND it only getting worse. SO exspect worse times ahead. Your childrens children will be in debt. the day they are born. A total of about 55,000 a kid these days. In 10 years this country will be up FOR SALE and the fat cats will be suckin another country dry. FACT.

Poverty line in the late 90's was around 2000 a month, just a tad under that, think it was 22 000 a year.

$12 dollars and hour is what dry wallers got in the early 80's and in those day, apartments were 200 a month and you could purchase a house, also roughly 60 000, on that salary.

Do ya think we have a problem watson?

15 dollars an hour is peanuts and you can't raise a family on it, you can't rent a 1400 dollar a month house, a 1200 dollar townhouse, or a 1000 dollar a month apartment, and pay over a 1000 for groceries, all your bills, and have any money left over, oh wait, you're already vastly in negative numbers.

Some of us just keep waiting for the majority to say NO and not go to work, or whatever, but line up in front of their elected employee minions offices until everything is straightened. ie homes for all. Abolish money if necessary, and get a good world that does not involve forced slavery, but part time, and more Venus Project like, or shove it. Just everyone refuse to participate and take land in majority and build your homes and plant your gardens.

I just keep waiting.

This system is slavery, and therefore violates all forms of law, common and constitutional and is outrageous crimes against humanity.

Keep you head up brother, just like this beer....it will be over soon.

This cannot last, it is wrong, greed was warmed about many times by the ancients, now this country worships it.

I am not religious, but money is the devil if ever there was one.

So when my friend used $50,000 of his own money to build a medical center and sponsor 100 orphans in the slums of India that was the devil at work?

This same thing happened in the 1920s. Monopoly laws are on the books. They will be broken in the 2020s.

Saudi Arabia just super charged the American economy at the base by effectively giving every American car owner a raise. This will spur domestic growth in the middle class, and after we have already seen these "too big to fail" companies take from us, with our feet back on the ground, the United States will be poised to kick the tires out from under Corporate America.

Real wages have decreased dramatically but I don't see life getting any better for small business!

What a business needs is demand for the product or service. Without the demand, the cost really isn't the issue.

Corporations are making a ton of money but still aren't hiring. How in the world can you seriously say keeping wages low will increase jobs when the last 10 years have proved you wrong.

Because she buys into the greed memtality...she thinks they will let her have a place at the through.

In the 60s places took care of their employees, because they are the ones actually making all the money.

Today, people like her brag about paying their employees nothing so they get a third house and second yacht.

That is her mentality.

F... them, I desrve more, they desrve nothing. All the time denying the workers are doing all the work, and earing all the money, while she pays them nothing and pockets more than all of them combined.

This is the greed mentality, it cant be reasoned with.

She can never have enough, no matter her workers going hungry, missing important family moments etc...

Only her insatiable greed matters.

I hear you man,
$15/hr was just getting by back in 1995.
Prices have shot up 25 -50% since then.
Even with my wife working we never seemed to have any extra.
Glad I learned to care a lot less about money.
No point stressing about what you don't have.

So if we haven't been increasing wages to increase demand... why are prices going up anyway?

The question is, are you? What is your definition of rich? Would you destroy for it? You know, step on the throats of the competition to make you rich? How much are you willing to give up your ethics to make it? You don't have to be content but you have to have goals to be rich. You have to have the drive to be rich. You have to do without to be rich. Can you do that? Will you do what it takes to be rich?

What do you hold the most valuable?

Interesting. If that's a FACT then why has gold deflated by over 25% in the last year or so? Same with oil?

I have some very smart friends who are scratching their heads, not sure if we're going to go into a deflationary spiral, or inflationary spiral when the bubble bursts.

On a global scale, anyone who does not have to see their kids starve to death or watch them die of common diseases that could easily have been treated with simple and low cost meds, is rich.

Perspective is everything.
