I haven't seen the History Channel do this 1, so what do ya'll think? In my opinion, many things were soooooooo Hollywood, but 4 1 part, I c y they did that, but much of it was very true, but, it's hard for me to decide, what do ya'll think?

Ok well that's confusing, because the History Channel DID do one of this as I watched it.
It tore the film apart, it didn't go down how they say it did.

Ridley Scott said himself he had to make it look more heroic from the American point of view otherwise he would not get the military assistance needed for the film.
That's how it's always worked in Hollywood, you either make it look favourable to the military or you get no assitance.

youll notice in the beginning it says" BASED on actual events." and they had to chnage things. you know the chracher Gimes? we he isint a real ranger. his real name was Stebins but he was arrested for some sex thing and the DOD wouldnt let hollywood use his name.
