There are black holes at the center of galaxies because you need a lot of matter to condense to form a black hole, and galaxies are exactly that, matter from the big bang (hot plasma/gas) condensing and becoming colder and more solid.

Also galaxies are spread apart because the structure of visible matter in the universe is foam-like.

At first there was hot plasma everywhere, then it started crashing under it's own attraction, creating vast regions of emptiness behind. Eventually the matter that was distributed evenly became this:




Galaxies are found the most in the filaments and nodes. They form galaxy clusters.


All of this is quite explainable and follows naturally the laws of the universe, there is no need to invoke a pseudo-scientific theory involving black holes to explain why galaxies are (supposedly) spread apart.


On the other hand, the incredible forces generated by black holes inside a forming galaxy (quasar), emitting bursts perpendicularly to the rotation plane, will set the matter in motion inside the galaxy to help with the formation of stars. It can even reach matter in other regions of space and help it become a galaxy too.






The universe is certainly a wonderful and magical place, but its mechanisms are not always so obscure that we need to speculate about them. The first step is to read the existing literature to get a good idea about how things are supposed to work, and only then you can be in a position to make further speculations.
