Seems this was filmed today. Well today here in the greater metro area, which includes NY/Philly, we had a lovely blue sky - perfectly clear blue sky - oh well until the, uhumm, the contrails started forming in the SSW sky. Some odd patterns too - you know contrails with right angles in them LOL. I was thinking to myself, looks like they don't want us to see something. Guess I was right
Within a few short hours, that portion of the sky was filled with white. Just sayin' :O

It's my opinion that, Mark Passio, a UFOlogist who has spoken at MUFON events should have known he was seeing birds.

He has a vested interest in disclosure. The video is an unfortunately ploy to try and raise awareness for his YouTube channel.

Seriously. Anyone who has looked up and watched migrating geese would know -- the video is showing birds in formation.

It's not a reflection on the author of the opening post, it's a reflection on the content of the video.

And… the video is embarrassing to anyone that takes the subject of E.T. phenomenon serious.

the 'ufos' come into focus about the 1:50 mark and whatever they are do get quite clear at times as the video goes on.

Here is a hint - if you see a youtube video with comments disabled (like these) it shows the person who posted the video's does not want to be told what his "ufo" video actually shows, and he knows it is not really a ufo.

The same as if you see a "ufo" video etc. with music added, it shows the poster knows it is a hoax.

Where were the birds going? The film lasted for quite a while and yet the birds didn't really go anywhere now, did they? You have much experience with flying birds that go nowhere?

over 30 mins with out moving anywhere.

and a group of people staring at geese for 30 mins.

odd behaviour from people that were actually there looking with their own eyes.

Oh come on.

This really is sad.

Several members post pictures of geese in very similar formations, and yet you embrace the hoax?

Here's a pro-tip…

Birds at higher altitude appear to be moving more slowly because… because… they're farther away from you.

Also, yes, large flocks of snow geese (they tend to migrate in large flocks) can get misdirected in mid flight. Having once lived in NY, I've seen it. Lots of people have. It's common.

To add to SO's post, and to reiterate what was already said in the thread, if they're flying into a headwind, it will considerably slow their movement down.

A possible indication of this is the formation we see, it's more rounded rather than the typical V formation birds use, possibly indicating the lead birds are meeting resistance and squashing up the formation..

I've lived here in NY all my life. Have seen plenty of flocks head north. Usually they get where they're going. These birds looked really lost. The best part is the location or vantage point of where they were filmed in this instance - framed between a few buildings and electrical wires. They really looked in peril from ever reaching their destination. I mean 10+ minutes of not moving must have them very tired indeed.

Peace!

Hey they finally got moving. Can see their flapping wings and all. Yeah that looks just like the OP video

I am about 1 hr north of philly. The snow geese just started arriving in the past 2 weeks.snow geese used to be a rare siting 10 yrs ago, common now. I hunt geese, that is all the video is showing.

so do you know what the wind speed was at altitude or not?

Or are you just assuming it must be strong because the birds aren't going anywhere?

Not only that, the wind was so strong it pushed the formation backwards...

Also, if these geese are trying to land, they will either circle or break up into a very erratic pattern while landing.

They don't appear to be any sort of birds I'm familiar with.

Well then I don't have to ask if you're an ornithologist, or even an average birder. These are very common birds.

Wiki - Snow Goose

My first thought was snow geese, I have seen plenty of them. I live near the goose hunting capital of the country.
I have never seen them hover in one area for so long. They generally seem to move across the sky.
Maybe some sort of flocking behavior that happens further north I've never observed.
I've also never seen geese look like "glitter" or "headlights" as some of the bystanders were describing.
I don't have the bonafides to call myself an ornithologist, but, as a hunter, I have spent some time observing nature.
I'm not saying it wasn't geese, but I'm not so quick to say that it was.
Naw, geese don't hover...The lead goose is constantly moving to the rear as another takes its place to take advantage of the draft from the other geese to give it a chance to rest...

Like a sailboat the geese will go cross wind and do a tack when there's a strong head wind...They don't just sit up there in one spot flapping their wings...The OP said the objects were not breaking formation and geese always do...
