Anyone have an idea how I can fix this? On ATS I keep getting a window that opens to a Viagra add, unable to close it without it opening another window.
After it opens I have no text on ATS until I close and use CCleaner and start it all over again!

I have performed all kinds of cleans and a boot time scan on Avast.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

try eset online virus scanner perhaps? here's direct link to the download (copy and paste into your address bar)
download.eset.com/special/eos/esetsmartinstaller_enu.exe

could try malwarebytes but to get the free one, you have to give them your email

Yeah, I have been getting that ad as well. Not having the text issue you are having though.

However, I was also getting an ad over the past week a couple of times for some bogus flash player that looks like Adobe, but clearly states in the small print on the bottom that it has no affiliation with Adobe, and, AND, on top of that it would automatically download an installer.exe file.

If it happens again, I will screenshot it and post it.

When I first access the site using www.abovetopsecret.com/ something adds a string of five to seven letters after the forward slash and I get an ATS 404 screen. I keep messing with the address deleting the string and will finally get ATS home page.

Have ran antimalware and AV, found nothing. Could be on the ATS side of things but normally they have a very good AV and AM service.

Right now, its just annoying.

I have been getting that also the only way out is hitting my back arrow it seems it pops up a new page and stops the one I am on...ATS is where it seems to happen also.

Thank you will try that now. The Viagra page is currently open, if I close it it will pop me to another and I will have to close and clean before i can get back. I think ATS is trying to tell me it is time to go ;-)

Mine is doing this also today every reply.

I ran Malwarebytes and it found 3 registry items they all start with Pup optional...add stuff right? should I quarantine or add exclusion do you think?

I seem to be having all the combined problems each of you have, I wonder if my settings have anything to do with it.
Kind of tired of looking at the Viagra page!

so far eset has found 5 on mine and it's not done. 4 of the five are all related to something called JS/Astromenda.A. however it's not listed as a virus or spyware (so far). it's just called a potentially unwanted program

ah, it's a search bar type problem. it basically hijacks your search bar

Done and restarted and the Viagra page closed without poping me to another so I am very hopeful this did it!

Looked it up and they recommend just what they did for mine

Please download AdwCleaner by Xplode and save to your Desktop

www.sevenforums.com...
I did run that and it found additional stuff and removed them.

I had a similar problem with a Dodge Ram pop up ad. You have the option to close the ad, but the problem is the X close button puts your mouse over the banner which triggers the pop up.

Try clicking the X for close and moving the cursor directly away from the banner on the main window..

You could always go with a browser plug in such as AdBlock

Try logging in a hundred times a day, an play the odds.

The one I have been getting does not work like those, it pops up as a full size window in a separate tab but moves me from my current page, the window has a popup with no other than two options asks if you want to close go to page. If you choose to close "navigate away from page" it opens another window with a string of weird stuff in the address bar, if you close it by the X in the top corner you get the same, if you choose to go to the page you get the same, if you make no selection the page is frozen and will not close unless you close the browser, and it will still be there unless i run Ccleaner before going online again.
The the page pops again as soon as I go to ATS.

but the Malwarebytes and adware remover they suggest seems to have stopped it .

It is an ad. This site makes money by showing them. It's against the rules to tell you to block ad's to prevent issues like this. I say that when the sites desire to make money prevents you from using said site then the sites argument is off. I actually don't block ads on my computer but my router does.

You think the viagra ad is an ATS ad? It opens not on ATS but another tab? It is still there but what it is doing is placing a PUP. thingy that I can remove with the recommended AdwCleaner but when it opens it is back.
