If an actress is a witness, does that make her a Crisis Actor?

Just curious. I was watching a video on Weather.com (www.weather.com...)
At the :33 mark, there is a very attractive woman telling what she observed, and at the :51 mark, they show her name. Something about her made me want to Google her name (maybe because she's hot /shrug), but after I Googled her name, and took a look at the Google Images, I found out that she is indeed an actor - www.agenceclaireledoux.com...

So my question is, even though she's an actress, does this make her a crisis actor?

Although I see your point, is it really all that cut and dried of an issue?

Isn't it possible that a person could be both?

Some are better at acting than others, and they don't need to have the title actress/actor in their portfolio.

If the credits to the movie show the actors name, you can tell it was intended to be obviously fabricated.

if they want to get away with it, they wont make it obvious.

Why is this something people even have to think about?

"Hey lets get angelina jolie to play a screaming wife, shes convincing."
"Oh crap everyone knows shes an actress, we should have used someone else, why are we so dumb... *plots to destroy the world better next time*."

Not necessarily.. especially in this case.. Smallish town?
Some people like to be seen, some don't.
(It may have even been the interviewers preference..?)

Sometimes though it reminds me of the Stephen King book 'IT' where the kids looking at photo's and news clippings through history noticed that at every major disastrous event there was a CLOWN (entertainer) somwhere in the picture.

(Boston springs to mind)

Absolutely, but it was a simple yes/no question (I thought).

IDK, I guess that is why I stopped visiting this site. I would hope people would be on the same level and responses would have been, "Hey that's pretty cool." "What are the odds?" "What a trip, she's an actual actress!" /shrug

I liked 'IT'. Was a good book with an ok series that followed it.

Yeah the Boston Bombing disaster had it's fair share of Crisis Actors. Don't know why though in a supposed real event.

Crisis actors are usually used in Disaster and or Emergency Drills and Exercises.

But I have seen a few questionable witnesses that have popped up in other events and or disasters. They could be Crisis Actors.

Remember when the Ebola virus not so long ago was big news? I saw some CNN and BBC footage that looked so obviously faked and featured what I would describe as really bad Crisis actors. Like the black kid wandering over to a sheet on the ground, dropping down on it then putting on an agony show and writhing around. It was like watching a B movie.

I'd post the video but can't access youtube from my current location.

My point is. Not all 2 bit actors are crisis actors and vice versa. I suppose it would depend on the agency they work for.

There are a lot of small agencies still advertising for some up and coming Government Drills. Just do a search! If your gonna be prepared for something you need to practice!

Good question. It was proven that at least one of the parents of a recent shooting victim at a school is indeed an actor.

You can ask the question if she was playing a role there. Well, actually you can't. But you should be able to.

The answer is "no."
The definition of "Crisis Actor" is a person who repeatedly (at least more than once) is interviewed during a crisis (or any 2 people who look similar, then it's headlined "Crisis Actor?")
