Our public drinking water has been polluted for decades with mostly estrogen, from women on The Pill, and that is the one thing that kept leeching thru from our sewage to our drinking water that couldn't be filtered out:

(NOTE: So you've got boys growing breasts, an increasing gay population, and some sub-populations have practically stopped having male births compared to female births. Another effect is that The Pill works by tricking the body into believing it's already pregnant. And what does a female body do in the early stage of pregnancy? GAIN WEIGHT! So this could be playing into the obesity epidemic too.)

We all babble (or talk) about the stuff we're interested in though, male and female.
That's the deal with a relationship, you know, showing interest in the things our partner finds important, even if we find it a bit boring sometimes.
I've pretended to be interested in tales of 'lovely furnishings' etc which a GF has seen while shopping, or other longwinded stories about the politics in the female group, but I've equally bored GF's with my after work tales detailing the fine points of my day building stone walls or on a tricky plastering job/blah.

I can't imagine there are many couples in the world who share exactly the same interests in life, so it's mostly a trade off - enjoy the conversations that interest us, and make an effort to show interest when it may be boring to us.
...but to dismiss all female conversation as 'babble' is the kind of stereotyping that is best left for 1970's comedy shows and not the 21st Century.

That's why in successful marriages, the partners usually have something in common - even if it was being "high school sweethearts," decades earlier. It's some kind of touchstone for both, some common ground.

A sense of humor and an appreciation of the absurdity of life is also helpful as a bonding agent. My eyes glaze over when my husband talks about the intricacies of driving a Big Truck cross-country, or a long combat scene in a movie that absolutely rivets him. But we bond a lot thru humor, and can't wait to tell each other the latest "dumb criminal" story we've seen on TV or the Internet.

I chuckled at your husband's driving stories glazing your eyes, and think that is a classic theme of bloke work tales boring their partners, I've done it many times lol.
But that just shows how although we're equal as genders we are 'different' and it's those differences that we have to accomodate with each other.

...but as far as the OP goes, it is lame to blame feminism (or females as a group of any kind) because some men lack the social skills to pull off any meaningful interaction with women. That is the issue of the male concerned, nobody else.

Look at the world around you then look at the world within you. The mirror reflects perfectly the knowledge of what is to come. Everything is polarizing, re-balancing itself as to sustain the continuance of life. As a result our reality is being flipped upside down. Men are becoming like women and women are becoming like men, equally together they shall become like the beasts of the earth, devoid of love for life, driven by fear and acting out of self-preservation. To what extent this reality will flip is for the wise to know, for this generation the earth will come to reap what they have sown.

Disillusionment with the world can tend to make people looks outwards and blame the world in the general for their own misery, where they should be looking inward for the answers they seek.

Not quite sure how I misunderstood such a simple question, but okay. And yes, the list is much, much longer.

Imo....things are progressing just as they should. The feminist movement and many others through the centuries have been the result of imbalances existing within the social structure of humanity. Yes perhaps they go too far in their efforts to make a point...but who's to say that too far is not "just enough" in some cases.

Now I would like to make a point that has helped me in my own endeavors to find a healthy and happy balance to my relational experiences. I find that when I view the opportunity to interact with another human being ( particularly those of the opposite sex) as a privilege.....it changes the whole dynamic of it. Even if we find the person abrasive in some way we can utilize the time spent with them to sharpen our own characters by developing patience or by adopting a new perspective that will allow us to be delivered in our own minds from that which plaques us. We must realize that ultimately it is our own perspectives that generate the psychological pain that relationships can be catalysts for.

If we don't make life BETTER for the people we are with why would they want to be around us ??

True, and there sadly seems to be a lot of unhappy disillusioned people in this thread.
So many generalisations posted about both genders here but unfortunately it seems to me that there are more blokes whinging about female stereotypes than the other way round.
I know prick blokes and I know prick women, but I know more nice blokes and nice women than pricks.
I think the majority generalisations and stereotypes thrown at women in this thread is probably just down to the demographics of ATS membership...or at least I hope so.

If we are to arrive at the truth of the matter we must understand the mechanics of women and men. Women are feminine in nature, they function as the right hemisphere of our minds function, emotionally. Men are masculine in nature, they function as the left hemisphere of our minds function, logically.

Each human being, whether male or female, has a left and right side of their minds meaning every human being is a unified version of the masculine and feminine natures, the male and female principle. But, by faculties of ignorant thinking -our errors in judgement- we have idolized masculinity in men because of their strength and logic of thought. By idolizing men -in earlier era's of history- we have come to idolize women as weak and nurturing.

As this way of thought unfolded through time we have come to the manifestation of our erroneous thinking as it is now creating a negative ripple in the hearts of humanity. Because of the imbalance the truth is bringing itself to fruition through the chaos in society. Women are now over-exerting their masculine nature while men are over-exerting our feminine nature and this will continue like a ripple through a pond until the idea that created this imbalance is destroyed allowing the puddle to become at ease in stillness and peace.

All happenings are truly the effect of truth vs. untruth. If chaos is the result of an ideology it must be regarded as untruthful, unfaithful. If order is the result of an ideology it must be regarded as truthful, faithful. We see the catastrophes of today because we have clung to untruths far beyond there usefulness and we will continue to cling to these chaotic ideologies until we either destroy the idea or the idea destroys us. This applies to everything.

When the fantasy world of video games and pornography offers a greater appeal to men than the real world I wouldn't go on as to search for one to blame. I would go on to see that their is a sickness in the hearts and minds of men and women, one that only the destruction of ignorance can cure.

We are not in need of blame, that will only hasten the chaos of what is occurring. We are in need of truth, we are in need of unified cooperation amongst all of mankind to correct our errors before our errors destroy us. We are on the wrong path, only those blinded by ignorance can't see this.
