We worship Christ crucified
17 And if Christ is not risen, your faith is futile; you are still in your sins! 18 Then also those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most pitiable.

Even after he is raised form the dead, he is still "the one who was crucified" (as an event in his past).
For Paul, the fact that he had been crucified is theologically important.
It is the combination of crucifixion and resurrection that makes the theology of Christ, not either event on its own.
