"Electric Universe" sounds like either a cheesy 70's psychedelic-rock band or a horrible off-Broadway musical.

Left hand isn't talking to the right?
I have heard it operates like a liquid alternator
The also looked at whether radio signals from human transmitters on Earth could be scattering the charged electrons at the barrier, preventing their downward motion. Neither explanation held scientific water, Baker said.

Can I get a link if its ok
to the subject matter
Since the thread is about charged particles being trapped by Earth's magnetic field it is closely related. But a magnetic field doesn't have sharp boundaries. That's the puzzle that the scientists are working on.
and what your thoughts on it as it cross relates

Previous theorists have assumed that the entire Core (or the Inner and/or Outer Core) rotates as a single flowing object within the Earth. (In the drawing here, the view is from the South Pole, with the outer circle representing the surface of the Earth.) If that were the case, then all of the charged (ionized) Iron material (represented here in yellow) would follow a relatively circular path around a single axis that we could call the Magnetic Axis.
