Two FBI Agents Shot Near Ferguson Protests

While the second day of protests in Ferguson were far more contained as a result of the tripled presence of national guard troops in the St. Louis suburb, with media instead focusing on events in New York, LA and other major metropolitan centers, St. Louis violence failed to avoid the headlines for another day when shortly before 3 am, two FBI agents were shot early Wednesday morning in north St. Louis County.

The good news according to Reuters, is that this latest assault was "not directly related" to racially charged unrest in and around nearby Ferguson, an agency spokeswoman said. "The incident is not directly related to the Ferguson protests," Wu said, but did not elaborate further.

That said, considering how tense the situation in Ferguson - and around the country - already is, somehow we doubt the authorities would voluntarily seek to inflame tensions any further.

Of course they don`t want to point the finger towards the Ferguson protests, but this can`t be a good thing.

I guess we just have to wait and see what will happen next.

I have been sitting here listening to all this for the past 2 nights, listening to both the police scanner for St.Louis county and watching live streaming video of the protests. I grew up there and have been watching my old neighborhood burn down. I am so glad I got out of there back in '01 and never went back. I still have a few friends and family from my ex's side there. I never would have believed in a thousand years that this would blow up this bad. But it did. And I think that those of us that are against government corruption and militarized police should use this. Instead of making it about one person or a couple,we should use it to bring about real change that all can live better lives with.

The body of a black male was reportedly found near Canfield Green Apartments in Ferguson, the same complex where Michael Brown was fatally shot by officer Darren Wilson during an altercation Aug. 9.

KTVI-TV reports that the man, in his 20s, was shot to death and set on fire.

Hospitals report having treated at least 14 people who were injured during the unrest. Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis says it admitted two injured people and treated and released five others. It didn’t disclose the nature of the injuries. Christian Hospital, near Ferguson, says it treated six people for minor injuries, and Saint Louis University Hospital says it treated one person. Many Ferguson-area districts cancelled classes out of concern about the safety of getting children to and from school.

Is this how people who want their voices to be heard
about how they feel they have been unjustly treated behave?

This body is a young black male.

So to protest the killing of a young black male.
They go out and kill a young black male.

How civilized.

We really should take these people seriously now,
they hate it when people kill young black males and want it stopped.

There had to be a lot of anger been building up for a long time for these kind of things to happen. But we have seen it before, not only in America, but London, Sweden and several times in France.

If you don`t give people prospects in life, these kinds of things will keep erupting.

There are simply whole parts of the Western World where people don`t have any prospect to break out of the situation they are in.

It`s actual how capitalism ends, the rich get richer and more and more poor will be created, it`s the downside of capitalism.

It is an example of what happens when the government purposely makes marriage and two parent families impossible by instituting policies that pay women not to marry or live with the father of their children, and the family looks like it did in the days of slavery. All this was done in the name of kindness by the government, pfffttt, they knew what they were doing, look at Planned Parenthood which was founded by Sanger who wanted to rid the world of people of color.

That is the message you are supposed to take from the coverage.

There are several hundred people looting, burning, and inciting mob violence. The media is showing a predominantly black crowd. They are destroying the lives of thousands of black citizens in Ferguson. People that have struggled to make it to where they are now. People that will most likely be unable to recover without assistance from the government.

Which will just be more ammunition for the Assholes in the crowd to shout "minorities depend on assistance!" in the coming months. These CITIZENS might have worked their fingers to the bone to make a small business to make ends meet and barley held on. Now, as a result of a hand full of white/black/Asian/mixed rioters it was all taken away. Many will ignore that and focus one the singe aspect of the crowd.

I don't mean to preach at you, I really don't. I am the last person in the world with the right to tell anyone anything. All I would suggest is - look a little deeper, look past the obvious, and see not the rioters but who PROFITS and or GAINS from them.

eh....wouldn't a cover up have some sort of like....media black out? because they're not exactly making any effort to hide it. just because there's "protests" doesn't mean that all other LE business in the area stops. a LEO was shot in the same area where the agents were shot, and the perp fled. just a shot in the dark here, but perhaps the agents were doing LE work?

It has been long written on what the drawback is of capitalism, that`s not something which you simply can deny with pointing towards the drawback of other governmental systems. So yes it has its advantages, but as always there`s also a bad side.

That's like reporting an auto accident and saying that no serious injuries occurred, even though one of the individuals suffered two broken legs, a broken collarbone and fractured ribs. But Hey! They're not serious are they!?
