People and dogs of Donetsk share desperate struggle to survive winter

I have often though about the poor dogs and other animals that have been victims of this war since it began.
unfortunately the war fighters only see killing in there eyes and ground occupation, they do not even notice the pain, suffering, frightened animals(mainly dogs) that they cause.
I find it heart breaking that we created these species that are our protectors,companions and soul mates, they rely on us for their very own welbeing and survival. yet people can just forget their existence when unfortunate circumstances arise between ourselves.
I understand this is the consequences of war and not only dogs are treated like this, also humans, children, babies etc. but humans have intelligence. we can move else where, make decisions to escape these areas, and for the most part other people acknowledge our dis-pare and try to help. but animals in these area's are not acknowledged and situations like this happen far to often IMHO.
