I've put this here because it is about a dream I had last night, but I can see the discussion becoming broader than that... so my apologies if this
should not belong here.
First of all, it is an exceedingly rare occasion when I can recall the details of my dream after waking. Most of the time I know I had a dream, but
can't remember anything about it. In that regard, I apologize for the length of the description, but I wrote down every detail I could so that I
would remember it. I've never had a dream like this before.
Second, I have historically enjoyed what some would consider nightmares, not because they are scary or whatever, but because of the feeling of relief
I get after waking from such a dream and realizing it isn't/wasn't real. This dream, however, has lingered with me and made me think all day, so I
wanted to share it and get some feedback.
On to the dream...
I am standing in a vacant parking lot outside a building I've never been to before and I know I am here for mandatory training activities for work.
I head inside the building and find that what should be the reception area is just a large, empty room with about a dozen closed and unmarked doors.
There are no signs or any kind of guidance about where to go so I pick a door and head through it.
As I am walking down this dimly lit corridor I can start to hear people talking; I must be headed in the right direction. I wander toward the voices
while passing many more unmarked doors. At the end of the corridor there is a cul-de-sac of offices. I don't recognize anyone and the discussions
are all just usual business chatter; this must not be the right place after all.
As I start to go back the way I came I am confronted by someone I do know (from real life). He promptly tells me that I shouldn't be where I am and
briskly escorts me back down the hall of doors and sends me through one. Behind the door there is a long, illuminated staircase that ends at a
concrete floor. Once I get to the bottom, I realize I'm in a hall with just one door at the end, so I head through it.
I am now in a rather dimly lit area, but there are displays everywhere and people milling about (all of whom are in business suits). Eventually
someone guides me to a computer station where I begin my training. It is the usual corporate training stuff... business ethics, code of conduct,
substance abuse policies and the like. After I'm done, I am escorted to the next activity in the adjoining room.
This room has a table in it with miniature tanks (military tanks), various environmental hazards, and a single red, remote controlled vehicle. I
somehow know that I am supposed to navigate this vehicle through the pitfalls on the table. The catch is that this remote controlled vehicle does not
have a physical controller, rather it is navigated by my thoughts. I get the vehicle all the way across the table without issue and then I am
instructed to return the vehicle to its starting position. I do this, but very nearly touch a land mine looking thing right at the very end. The guy
in the business suit in this room shakes his head and brings me to another adjoining room.
I'm back at another computer station and the training is asking me about various hypothetical situations and what I think the best course of action
should be. Then, it starts asking me to evaluate statements in terms of which one I find the most disturbing. It deteriorates further to showing me
grotesque images and again asks me to choose the most upsetting ones. I finally make it through all of the questions and am yet again escorted to
another adjoining room.
At this point I am pretty rattled and I am apparently not paying proper attention to a business suit wearing woman who is trying to type up something
about me, so she is scolding me and asks her question again. I cannot hear what she is saying.
I wake up from the dream for a few seconds, long enough to realize I've been dreaming. I fall back asleep and am at the same exact point, I still
cannot hear this woman. I wake up and fall back asleep another 2 times, each time returning to this point, and then I finally wake up for the day.
So that was the dream. There are many things that I'd love to hear about... interpretations, similar dreams, etc. It should be known that this is
the time of year when my company has us do our annual training refreshers on policies, etc. so maybe that's all it is. But I would also like to
discuss the thoughts I have been having today as a result of this dream, which gives the thread part of its title: Remote Mental Infiltration.
I am loosely familiar with the concept of Remote Viewing. I haven't ever tried it myself or really researched it, but if it is possible, then could
it also be possible to remotely view the contents of another's mind? Was this dream actually some sort remote evaluation of my psyche or an attempt
to extract something from my mind? Thoughts?
