Hello ATS I come to you with a simple yet profane rant

Here goes

Why is it that I have to be equal to someone that is not equal to me?

Why is it that it's my fault for what people did 100 years ago?

Why is it that I have to sit and take whatever poop is being cast upon me by life and the government?

I will give you a little tale about why I think we as a society are being rotted from the inside out.

My father's family came to the new world in the 1600's to establish what is one of the oldest cities in the world, Quebec City. They were one of the settling families and they are one of the most spread out and largest today. My family's name is on billboards, signs, vehicles, propane tanks and much more. They did not come here and oppress the natives they found like the pilgrims did. Instead they became friends and traders with them, eventually including them into the family as one of their own. I can trace back through generations to native heritage and the traditions that were passed down from father to son and mother to daughter. Almost all of my ancestors were hardworking traders or lumberjacks that made a name for themselves from nothing. My mother's family came over to the US during the potato famine in the 1800's and became immigrants in Canada and the US. They were also hard workers that worked hard and made themselves into something out nothing. Today my mother's family name is across signs, billboards, and other things as well.

They had nothing to do with slavery. They had nothing to do with what happened on the Trail of Tears. My skin color does not determine the moral fabric of my character. My skin color has nothing to do with the oppression of others from different creeds and backgrounds.
I do not give a flying rat's butt about race. I do not care about what is between someone's legs.

STOP EQUATING ME WITH THOSE WHO DO
They are humans like me and you. They have dreams and hopes like me and you. But they are ignorant and blind in their ways for hating someone based on aesthetic features. You can find racism and sexism across the globe and if you think I will feel sorry for those who cannot make something of themselves based on an imagined prejudice, you are sorely mistaken.
My father's family and my mother's family faced equal if not more discrimination because of their background than those today, yet they could still rise up and help themselves.
Nothing is stopping minorities or women from doing the same. The only thing stopping them is themselves.

I am big, strong, smart and fast. But I cannot sit down all day and do important number crunching. My sister is more than capable of that and i recognize that skill. My friend Mel was as black as night but he could write, sing, and draw 50 times better than I could. I recognized that skill in him. Everyone has a skill that is useful in life but it is up to them to find that skill and use it.

Why should I be paid the same wage as someone not doing the same work? Find me 50 women that could do the job of 50 roughnecks on oil rigs and I will eat my hat. You will not find those women because the work that men do in certain trades are inherently dependent on raw stamina and strength that women psychically do not have. Women were designed by evolution to manage the man's needs while he went out and put his life on the line to feed his family. There are still plenty of men who do that because women are not interested in long, hard hours and dirty, dangerous conditions. Women are given every handicap to make themselves as equal as us and what has that done? The mechanic field is still 90% male. Secretaries are still 85% female. They believe the lie that they cannot work as hard as someone else so they accept it as the blind truth and do not attempt to test it. I've worked with plenty of women in the construction industry. For the most part, I've observed that not only were they not harassed, but they put up with the same # that the men did.

Who has time to harass someone when you're working a 14 hour shift in a trench when it's 98 degrees out? Who has time to harass someone when they are busting their balls every minute of the day to keep to a deadline? The same people that would harass someone regardless of the gender.
Life sucks and then you die, sorry buttercup.

Society is being rotted from the inside out from the idea that everyone is as equal as the next person and if someone is better than someone else, they have to give themselves a handicap. We are not all equal, but we are equal in the sense that we live a life on the same planet.

We should recognize the skills that people are born with and use those skills to help everyone instead of forcing those that are more skilled to handicap themselves to those who are not as equally skilled. If you're a minority or a woman and can't seem to get a job anywhere, make your own job. Make your own company and work for yourself if others don't want to recognize your personal skill. There is every opportunity out there to better yourself and instead it's wasted on those who don't want to better themselves.

Let's stop with the racism, the ableism, the ageism, the feminism. Let's do equalism instead.

Until we can see each other as human beings, we will crumble and fall to those who don't.
The same ones who finance the endless wars, the same ones who finance a need based economy that has no needs anymore, the same ones who do not see white, yellow, brown, but instead only see the color green.

I for one would give my life to see that everyone gets a fair chance, not just those who aren't as skilled as the rest of us.

Delete this, warn me, I don't care. I came here to give my warnings and my message and I have reached more enough people that my crazy idea of equality is not lost.

Shhhh. You'll get in a lot of trouble for speaking truth. I don't agree with everything you said but as a person who's family didn't partake in slavery or exploitation of natives like some, I find it reprehensible I'd be put in that category.

If my family did it today and I didn't, I'd still feel responsible. But it's not the same situation for us today.

Ha, I was water boarded and electrocuted for less.

I don't care because whatever doesn't kill me will make me stronger.

They tried to silence me before but only made my voice louder and stronger.

Starting from 2007 I went everywhere and anywhere, sometimes on a literal soapbox and I spoke the truth. I gave people pamphlets and showed them where to look.
They picked me up more than a few times and told me in no uncertain terms, if you keep going down this path, we will make you disappear and make you into your own worst enemy. They did that with my friends and a few other people around the globe. I won't name who because that would give the other side power, but more than a couple of them have showed up on here, dead and made out to be crazies.

They stopped trying that with me after they found out that there is always a bigger fish and my fish is the biggest of them all.
You don't know who they are nor will most people ever know who they are.

Just know that not all the people in a conspiracy agree with the conspiracy and the biggest conspiracy of all is that we can't change the system

Why do you feel you need to be equal?
Who said you are at fault for past generations?
It is your choice to take what is cast at you, or to strive beyond it.

On my fathers side I am 4th generation in the USA, on My mother's side I'm native. Just like you I have an even slate. Why are you complaining?

I work in a male dominated industry, I was mentored by half a dozen women who can do the job of any man on any day.

Folks working a 14 hour day make the time to harass others if they feel the need to.

I agree we should stop the various "isms" you lament about but in my life I've only seen people get on peers for reasons of less than stellar performance, or for seeing someone sell themselves short.

"Why is it that it's my fault for what people did 100 years ago?"

"They did not come here and oppress the natives they found like the pilgrims did."

The best part is how he says that he shouldn't be lumped in with the whites you have slave ancestors because his ancestors were nice to Native Americans right after saying what does what people did in the past matter.

FYI your ancestry seems to be French and the French definitely have their share of oppression in their history. But your ancestry doesn't master right? Except that you spent a long time talking about how awesome your family is.

I'm leaving out the rest of the hypocrisy since others covered that already.

Your argument died when you immaturely created that revenge account. Care to repost that again under your real one?

He's entitled to his opinion. You don't agree with it, leave it behind. He makes a very valid point though; we're NOT all equal. Speaking as a Hispanic Female, I want to be rewarded for my individual merit, not the color of my skin or what's between my legs.

I've never understood racism, were all the same species that came from the same common source walking around on the same rock. I couldn't give any less of a damn what colour or gender someone is, where all humans at the end of the day.

Yesss yesss let the butt pain flow through you.

Your responses are exactly why we are where are today.

Everywhere I go on the web or in society I'm bombarded with messages about how I'm supposed to feeeeeel bad for other people and feeeeeel bad for what minorities went through.

In the early days of the new world when the English showed up, they immediately proclaimed themselves better than stinky frogs and proceeded to steal, lie, and cheat all the French they saw. It's documented that they denied jobs and homes to people because of their language and willingness to get in bed with the natives. Try learning a bit more about places otuside of your little bubble before you come here and proclaim me this and that. The Irish were sometimes run out of town by mobs of anti immigrants and were literally barred from working in certain places. They were looked at as less than people because they spoke with a funny accent and had a few teetototalers. Do you know why they drink so much? It's friggin depressing to live over there, that's why.

Since I've been born, I have yet to hear a tale of a minority or woman being refused at the door from a place of work. Do you know why? Because we have laws against that. We have laws saying that you have to hire someone on their qualifications, not their character.

@tavi45 There you go, judging me on what others did. I have done nothing in my life to oppress women or people of different color yet you seem to think that I should account for those who did. I stated why it is that I feel that being labeled a potential racist or sexist because of my skin color or genitals is unbased and unjust seeing how I have done none of that.

@ the clown who created an account just to post here, funny that I seemed to have struck such a nerve that you went this far.
But do go on, this makes me laugh seeing how much I piss people off by using my freedom of speech.
And if you don't like what I have to say, there is a nightly little button called the backspace. Do make sure to hit it and don't come back

When they want more than 'FAIR', my heart closes. I can not correct the past and I personally owe no one for my failures or success. If you want to demand fairness, you got it.

If you want me to favor you, my progressive limits become over stretched.

Now go do something and benefit yourselves.

I'm just pointing out the hypocrisy. You can't say don't judge people based on their ancestry and then go on a long monologue about how amazing and awesome your ancestors were.

You're right. It is unfair and unjust. Welcome to reality. Try being something other than a straight white male and see how unfairly you're being treated. All I hear is "poor me, it's so hard being a white guy". Which is exactly what you are saying you hate hearing from other groups.

Your sentiments seem to be in the right place but you may want to work on your messaging. You came off as whiny and self centered to me, which again is what you say you can't stand.

That's the thing. From where I come from in life, I don't know what it's like to be something other than a white male.
And I'm only straight until I get too drunk, then all bets are off. I don't discriminate and neither should you.

If I was anything other than a white male, I wouldn't be seeing this # like i do, I'd be off doing whatever it is other people do.

Maybe I'd get killed in a drive by or become pregnant at 16, I don't know and I don't care.

Judging me for being white and male is just as bad as judging someone for being hispanic and gay or black and bisexual. Judging anyone based on appearance is wrong. That's what SJWs and their ilk don't understand. When you judge anyone for anything than their actions, you are contributing to the same thing you claim to fight.

My OP was about getting judged and criticized for something I didn't do. And being forced to handicap myself because I have better skills than someone else.

My opinion, which i have EARNED a right to, is that I can only be FAIR from now on.

When I was offered a foreman's position (for me it was a summer job/interruption while in college), I recommended that promotion to a black fellow who eminently deserved it. This was a large manufacturer who employed 75-80% minorities. They did give the job to him. The first minority (not counting Jews) who was put into management.

I took the Professional Administrative Career Exam for the Federal Government twice. I scored perfectly both times in ALL categories. The first time they offered me a plum job as a Weapons Procurement Specialist (GS 9-11-13) out of College. I was a Northern Hippie Environmental Major Peace Activist (minor league) and they wanted me to go to Birmingham, Alabama to get into the destruction industry. I didn't even reply.

WTF?

The second time I tested, I was working for the USDVA as a file clerk (GS-3). (Complicated) When I asked the OPM why I had yet to get an offer, I was told the SCOTUS was reviewing the testing and placements derived from same. They determined they did not like the fact that minorities indeed did not do well enough and that this was contrary to hiring those folks. The test was toast and tossed.

A couple of years passed and a friend who was taking a psychometrics course said he something interesting to show me. There was a declaration, and this is pretty much verbatim, "The PACE was a PROVEN INDICATOR of success in the Federal Government."

WTF?

I tested for GTE as a programmer trainee and had a decent (not stellar) work history. I was informed that I had scored amongst the highest ever and never was proffered a job. This is after the HR director personally chauffeured my resume around.

WTF?

I will give you "FAIR" in spades. You want it, you got it. Quit telling me that you want more than YOUR "FAIR" TREATMENT.

I want free education. I want decent food, accommodations, family structures, peace and prosperity for as many as possible. I want you to achieve your dreams. I do not want to give you false successes because that's cool to you. Deserve it and get it. Quit telling me abut your generational miseries. If you don't like the way you are treated, go to where you think it will work out. Emigrate from your chains, intellectually or physically. Show some initiative that WE can support. Do freaking something and quit the bellyaching. You know, become adults.

Banding into self selected segments of society is the first mistake. You become more easily dismissed by TPTB. Usurp their authority by inveigling, sub-rosa attacks and conniving. Frontal assaults on the thrones that these white guys (mostly) hold is stupid. Period. I can tell you how to go about leveling the playing field in 20 years and you may not profit personally but I can guarantee your similars, your sector, can wipe the floor of these no goodniks.

Screaming won't help your cause.
