with a Chinese sub coming into Japanese waters just last month, and North Korea becoming an increasing concern, Japan is changing its pacifist
constitution.
among the changes is a loosening of trading military goods. this is allowing Japan to develop a missile system with the US.
as of yet, Japan will not consider having the capability of attacking missile bases in enemy countries, but analysts reckon this will change in the
future.
spending on defence, however, will be cut by more than 3% in the next five years.
the increasing alliance between Japan and the US is shown when a senior Japanese official said they would rely on the United States for defending it
against nuclear attacks.
