It's an article about people not being completely defenseless when caught without one.
Apparently the gunners find it baffling that if caught without a gun or are unable to get to a gun..there are other ways to escape with your life or defend yourself.
They think once you the option of gun is taken out of the equation...you are completely F'd.
Sad and pathetic...the only think in this world that you think..keeping you safe is a weapon.

Oh, so it states that in the article....that these can be used for when a firearm is not readily availab

Guns do a lot more harm than good any way you look at it. You'e a lot more likely to get your kids killed by having guns around than to protect them from any danger, real or imagined.
I've noticed that a lot of the most fervent gun worshippers are people that live around other gun people and encounter them causing havoc. The best defense is to live in a good neighborhood instead of wasting your money on assault rifles and thousands of rounds of ammo.

Well at no point in the article does it state...you do not need guns. That is all your in little head.
Because you find it hard to believe there are stories out there of people surviving without a gun. Not all people are completely useless without a gun.

I think an article that that consists of "buy a gun" would not be useful to gun owners or those that choose not to own guns....apart from being a very brief article.

The intent is to give people options when either they do not own a gun or that gun is inaccessible.

People are already aware that guns fire bullets and that those bullets can kill an intruder.

They might not be aware that absent a gun, the alarm button on your car keys is a reasonable way to alert neighbors that something is wrong. At least a neighbor might come knocking to tell you to shut off the alarm.

Surely that plain and rational premise makes sense to anyone not fevered in the "They want my guns" mindset.

When the military teaches our soldiers hand-to-hand combat....is that the same as our military saying "guns don't work in combat"?

Not sure how to debate with broken thinking.

So, it stated that exact intent??? Or are you offering that from your own interpretation?

Ahhh, much sad faces...
The article did not state "Things to do when a firearm is not available"...Nor did it directly state "Since we hate guns, do this instead".
Try being honest for once. It might help your long game.
