Hi, you can read my brief intro here
I want to talk about possibilities and theories of bringing objects from outer worlds into our current waking reality. This might sound weird and most people would not take it serious. I understand you, because I also thought its just a fantasy, until I experienced few events that changed my mind.
Here is one of them. Me and my wife went to sleep to our bedroom. (Note that my wife knows nothing about lucid dreaming and etc, she rarely recalls any dreams at all and she does not know that I am interested in it.) I was falling asleep and started my dream in a OBE like scenario, I do that very often, because I think OBE type persistent realms are a good starting and ending points in lucid dreams. I did not fall asleep completely, I was partially awake at this moment. In my dream I appeared in my room, saw my wife sleeping, I walked around and came close to the mirror. It was me in the mirror, then suddenly I heard a loud scream, it was female voice coming from the mirror, she did not say anything, she was screaming loud. That scared me, but I did not wake up and wanted to understand what is happening. Next moment I wake up because my wife woke me up, she was so scared, holding my hand and pressing close to me, she kept asking "did you hear that?" "did you hear that?"... When I woke up and saw my wife I could still hear that loud scream in the bed. It was coming from the same mirror, it lasted only few seconds when I was awake. But the whole scream transferred from my dream into my waking reality and I understood that my wife can hear it too. I could not believe that the scream from my dream appeared in my waking reality, I just could not believe, but for some reason I was so happy that it happened, all I thought about was "it is possible!".
If only I was alone at that moment, I would definitely put this on HH (Hypnagogic Hallucination). I went through all possible logic explanations that I could think of. It was not HH, because my wife could hear it, it wasn't a scream from outside because we live in a very good sound isolated apartment and we can barely hear anything from outside and this scream was so loud that it could not be something from outside. Trust me, it did sound like it was few meters away from us. Both our phones were far from us when we slept and they could not make that sound from that far anyways. It wasn't me screaming, it wasn't my gf's scream, so I could not explain it...
I was thinking about it a lot, it was hard to comprehend, but it did confirm one of my theories about such phenomena's and part of it was that most 'beyond dreaming' events do happen somewhere between sleep and awake state. Staying on that fringe, grasping both awake and dream world, we can experience unexplained events.
Share your thoughts and share your stories if you experience anything similar, perhaps we can find similarities in our cases and work out some clues.

Seems like the scream was from the "physical" reality to begin with, and not your obe bringing about the scream from "dream state" to "physical". The reason I think that is because you mentioned your wife heard the scream and then woke you up..I know from obe and lucid dreams that outside influences can overlap and become a part of the altered state of consciousness.
Thinking on it a bit more..I don't doubt the possibility of your outside body if you will to bring about a spirit that may have "attached" itself to you..I would like to say more but not on forum.

What this makes me think of is how my husband and I have often shared dreams. We interacted with the same things. There have been times I started to wake up in the middle of dreaming, and was able to talk with him about the same events in the dream- but he was still asleep. He often talks in his sleep. So I can ask him questions and he answers.
Our big dreams, we shared, though sometimes they were only slighty different- like one in which a voice was telling me about something happening with space-time sort of speeding up. The narrative for me explained it in terms I was familair with, in slightly different detail (as I love reading science journals and such) whereas his explained the same concept, using images- like two timelines, with a car on each, one going faster than the other, and a point indicating him leaving one line and going to the other.
So I wonder if, with time, you can sort of "merge" enough with your partner that such mental activity is shared?
It could have been a shared dream?
I've been with my husband for 23 years. He is really not into the weird topics as I am, though now at 50 years old, he is starting to, just because life has been showing him there is much more to it than meets the eye...

I've experienced injuries in dreams and could still feel the pain for a few seconds after I woke up.
A mesquite thorn in my foot once, and a bullet wound to my shoulder are two that come to mind.
