10/21/2014 - ELMIRA, NY (WENY) -- We're on the scene at 415 Walnut Street in Elmira, where we're told New York State Police and Elmira Police are assisting the Secret Service execute a search warrant at a home. Authorities are reportedly investigating a threat made against President Barack Obama. Neighbors have been evacuated from their homes, and police on scene are also seen in and around the home removing items and wearing surgical masks. - See more at: www.weny.com...
Eye witnesses report, as seen in one of the above photo's, Police entering the home wearing "surgical" masks. Hmm, what's up with that? Fear of Ebola or maybe a white powder? Who knows.
Law enforcement have canines with them and have taken a computer, and several guns out of the house. Elmira Police are questioning the man who lives at the home. When authorities came into contact with him, he had nine knives in his pockets. Neighbors on the 400 block of Walnut Street were told to evacuate with no warning around 10 a.m. Elmira Code Enforcement posted a notice early this afternoon on the home that no one can stay there.
The Secret Service is conducting an investigation at home on Walnut Street in Elmira this morning after someone allegedly made a threat against President Obama. The house being searched is at 415 Walnut St. Sheila Shipps, who lives at 413 Walnut St. said she was told to evacuate her home around 9:30 this morning. She said she had only moved in a few weeks ago and doesn't know the neighbors at 415 Walnut. Shipps said she saw officials remove long guns from the home. Agents have also removed a computer from the home.
