It was hilarious... And horrifically terrifying...

An absolutely amazing experience which is why I'm so eager to revisit...

I'll have to research that which you suggested I haven't heard of it!

I know this place too! That freaked me out. The beach front. Shopping Centre below. Maybe a coincidence.
Totally static in that the landscape is fixed in place dream to dream. I've even tried drawing maps to help with recall.

Ok...what is the significance of the dream of the house with the tower and the calendar in it with the date of 1922?

But theoretically, just theoretically, moren might be enough if you were looking for me in return. Perhaps that would narrow the search. By looking I mean expecting me in your dreams.

Sounds a lot like self-suggestion in that case??

I understand what you mean, but no. Shared dream is not about the connection it self. To find the reason why I said that, you need to read his previous questions.

What do we consider as a shared dream.. Its not just a dream where I met you in my dream and you met me in your dream. In this case, it is most probably just both of us meeting DC'(dream character) versions of each other. This is not a shared dream, this is a normal lucid or even non-lucid dream.

These are example of syncs that we got in shared dreams.

I will put 'a' and 'b' as examples.
We had moments where 'a' dreamt of 'b' waking reality memories.
Where 'a' dreamt of 'b' dream and at the same time 'b' dreamt of 'a' dream. (or we both observed the same dream or one of us observed another's dream)
Where 'a' dreamt of 'b' past dreams.
Where 'a' dreamt of 'b' past waking reality memories.

One example of shared dream: we did not talk to each other of what we are going to dream next night, we are going to sleep. In your dream for example you saw a flying whale or something else. In your dream a person came to you and said something weird and then you wake up, come back online and read what I posted on forum. For example I saw that flying whale and I said exactly the same phrase that you heard in your dream. In this case you will understand that I saw the same whale and I said the same phrase. This is more or less a shared dream. But syncs should be non ordinary events, commons events are not usually counted as syncs.

Another fast example: for example you and you girlfriend went for jet ski ride today and we are intending to meet in dream tonight, you did not share that event with anyone except of your gf who was there, no matter what you dreamt at night, you wake up, come on forum and ask what did I saw and I say I saw a guy with his gf riding a jet ski. This is another example of shared dream.

I very well know that there are many people who think they are sharing dreams when in reality all they are doing is self-suggesting. I can give you few example of such tricks, but I am strongly against such people who make all this look like a joke.

Regarding dreams, do you know of the white city? Tall, magnificent buildings, some castle-like. It is by the beach. The tallest tower has everything--a beachfront shopping center in the lowest levels, a hotel with people dreaming, and danger near the top. Have you been there as well? My closest friends have, as has my mother. I am wondering as to what it is since it appears to be a largely static environment, which is weird since it is a dream.

My next question concerns a skinny old man in a suit and top hat with a monocle and mustache. A long time ago, I had a dream where i was among a group of my peers and this man was making notes on his clipboard and asking us our names and things like that while we all stood in the wings of a large theatre stage. In the wings on the opposite side were these half naked, horribly muscular, and sweating men who were pulling on these large chains attached to the ceiling. And they were surrounded with the glow of what appeared to be hellfire or the fire of some large forge. All of a sudden from the opposite side comes a galloping white stallion, atop which sat a half-naked muscular and sweating man with long hair (looked like a bedraggled version of prince charming or something lol) and a woman in a white stole with ivy in her blonde hair. She clung to him and he clung to the horse. The horse looked spooked and had fear in its eyes, its nostrils were flared and it reared before leaping into a wooden barrel/bucket full of frothing water. It struggled in the water, kicking out its front legs as the man struggled to gain control of the spooked creature. And then I woke up. It was so vivid I've always remembered it but I have never been able to figure out what it means.

Hi, to make sure everybody understands, this has nothing to do with shared dreaming.

First answer:
Yes I am aware of some static places in dreams. I will explain how and why this happens. In different communities there are different persistent realms in dreams, even a book it self creates what people think a persistent realm. But in reality they are not static or persistent. There are books about lucid dreams, where author claims to be in some static place, for example 123. That 123 place was create by that author and it did exist only in his dreams, but when people read his book they imagined how it all looked like, in future they might be dreaming in the same place, because it was very well described in the book. You subconscious mind will one day trigger that memory and you will be dreaming in such place. But in reality that is your own copy of that place that has nothing to do with authors 123 location. When people read the same books, there is an illusion that there is some kind of static/persistent realm in dreams. It is not only about a book, a simple conversation between two people can trigger their dreaming in the same location. Any myth, movie will do the same. For example if you and your family saw a movie about some gladiator fights, there is a chance that you will all dream about the same coliseum, could be in different night or could be even during same night. But that has nothing to do with shared dreaming.

Second Answer:
Is similar to first answer, do not try to look for meanings in dreams. If you understand that process you should be able to think of past days and think if you saw any similar scenario or event in your daily life, for example a movie, a story told by friend, a story read on web or book. 90% of the time, all non-lucid dreams are explainable with such analysis. There is a complicated process going on in your subconscious mind, you do conclusions that you forget about and you get ideas that you barely think of and you might dream about such conclusions and ideas and create a whole new story mixed of many different past memories in your dreams.

I am not saying that dreams are that simple, there are very strange dreams that cannot be explained, you cannot even imagine how much weird stuff happened to me during this 7 years of lucid dreaming. Some events I cannot logically explain until today. There are many things that are simply beyond dreaming.

For example, there is a whole community of a dreamers who all think that there is a Labyrinth in a dream, with some creepy animals and monsters. In reality, the first think you will find on their forum is a series of book that all describe that place. So people who join their community and are noobs to lucid dreaming, they are all believing that that labyrinth does really exist. Well it does, but only in their mind, each person will have his own labyrinth.

I am also aware of other persistent realms that people claim to exist. But they all share the same beginning.

Wow I just noticed that all this topic was moved to a wrong section on forum, it has nothing to do with predictions.
