Take all that money you are using to pump into the Economy, and pump it into ebola. Then do what you have to do to isolate everyone who has come in contact with it for 30 days, and pay them a million dollars each to do it. And slow down the borders, shouldn't it be hard to travel to the United States anyways? I understand why you can't completely close them, but in the age of the teleconference, a lot of travel could be stopped. Make it 10x the price if you have to. Make self cleaning everything, it's technologically possible. It will also beef up industry in the United States. I'm ranting. Right forum atleast.

The Key thing is.... Stop putting Billions into the banks when we need it somewhere else currently obviously. We need to build the infrastructure to properly contain this and fast.

i pretty much agree with what you said, but quarantine means forty, as in 40 days..

3] The word comes from the Italian (seventeenth-century Venetian) quaranta, meaning forty, which is the number of days ships were required to be isolated before passengers and crew could go ashore during the Black Death plague epidemic

en.wikipedia.org...

don't know where people are getting these different numbers from.

All that pumping is really an illusion. Printing more paper is not curing anything, least of all Ebola.

Agreed. But can we use that illusionary money to purchase the equipment and hire/train the people we need to be prepaired "if" it gets much much worse. I'd prefer that over bullets solving the problem.

Call the hospitals. They are rich beyond measure. If they open their coffers a little more…

I heard this AM that when the nurses that were to attend Duncan complained about not having the right equipment, they were told by admin the equipment was "on order".

The problem is not the CDC or the banks, its the Medical Industrial Complex.

Feeding the scientists that are trying to find a vaccine or treatment won't work. The more you feed them the more they will try to keep their supply of money coming in. Maybe offering a five million dollar reward to someone who finds a cure is better. But that is pittlywamp to the Pharma companies who could make that in a few months from the patent.

Dumping fuel on the fire rarely solves the problem. Rewarding the fire fighter if he gets the fire extinguished properly is the best solution. Paying a firefighters by the amount of fires they extinguish means some of them might go and start fires to increase their income. If there is no need for a firefighter, they do not get paid, they might cause things to happen.

That last paragraph is not intended to discredit firefighters, it is just an example to explain my first paragraph. It rarely applies to fire fighters anymore because they have fixed most of the problems throughout the years within the system with firefighters. It used to be a big problem years ago when they started hiring people to fight fires, especially in the great depression. Occasionally it still occurs but not very often anymore.

I just cant believe people are easily controlled. i actually gave members of ATS more credit in trying to not fall for mass ebola hysteria.

I guess i was wrong.
