That looks amazing. I love the idea of frying the jalapenos in bacon fat, next time I make Mexican I am stealing that one.

Food porn lol. You know, when I first saw this title I thought it was about something completely different, and that would get someone banned.

What you do with fruits and vegetables in the privacy of your own home is your business, it is, after all, Valentine's Day so everyone needs some lovin'.

My very first homemade pizza

It needed some basil and parsley ripped over it but damn it was tasty, I don't have a pizza stone so I used some ceramic tiles I had left over from decorating a friends place.

Worked a treat, but be careful................................. juggling tiles at that heat is NOT to be tried after a trip to the pub.

It may well not be much but ............................. Nom nom nom

Looks good Cody. Seems you got the dough proofed properly as it appears to have a nice crust. How was the interior of it? Did it have a decent amount of air pockets?

Now you can start to experiment with other toppings...

I was worried I'd end up with a soggy mess in the middle, but to my surprise and with your advice, and some ingenuity it was pretty much perfect.

There's more than salami and mushrooms ?

They have this stuff called 'bacon'. You may want to try it.

That was 12 inches across bro

A snack in Texas but a meal for 2 here LOL, well that was the idea.........................The cuddle monster ended up with a lamb curry.

I'm thinking a good old fashioned chicken or beef stew with dumplings for tomorrow, it would be a waste of a winter to not have a good stew.

I think I'm channeling my grandmother

I have the market cornered my friend

Jewish bacon....................It's the best in the world, I have it shipped by my kids. At this point I should provide a link

Jewish bacon

It's a strange world

Hence the open mind

good one
from now on no more fast food pizza's for you

but what's that thing in the right corner? alien, baby scorpion?

One's a week i have to make pizza for the family, it has become a tradition now.
If you're interested in pizza dough recipes i'll be glad to share. So easy and you can put in what you like(herbs and spices, cheese,...)

If you want to experiment with toppings, this is what i do. Shape your pizza dough in a rectangle so it fits the whole baking tray, add toppings at different sections ( half, 1/4).
Yes it's not round but it's big

If i don't forget i'll take some pics next time.

I bake pizza's and most of the breads on a normal plate dusted with flour or semolina, this way it won't stick and gets a nice crust on the bottom.

keep on cooking

At first I thought you meant beef bacon (is that a thing?) or something. Nope! Pork. That has got to be the weirdest thing I've ever heard of. Is it kosher? Dumb question but then in a world where Jews produce bacon and pork in general I thought I'd ask.

If you are interested, this company makes custom pizza stones for a very reasonable price. Great for baking bread on as well.

So for my last night of eating high carb foods in this cycle, i had fried rice, sesame beef/broccoli, and some potstickers with a wasabi and sesame dipping sauce.

This time I did it a bit different on the beef, and i breaded it with cornstarch and deep fried it. Some good old American style Chinese food.
