Czech hospital tests man with Ebola symptoms

(Reuters) - A Prague hospital is testing a 56-year-old Czech man with symptoms of the Ebola virus, a hospital spokesman said on Thursday. The spokesman said the man, who had recently traveled in Liberia, was in isolation at Bulovka hospital in the Czech capital and that tests had been carried out and sent to a laboratory in Berlin. Results should be known on Friday, he said.

He has recently traveled in Liberia and has symptoms of the Ebola virus so is a probable.
No details on how long he was showing symptoms before he went to hospital yet.

Anyone know the quality of the Prague hospitals?

Good evening I was hospitalized in Prague 3 years and a half ago. Stayed at the general hospital of Charles University (Public hospital of the biggest and university of Czechia)

The buildings were kinda old outside (Iron curtain style) However, the service and technology was top standard. Czech Republic among other countries of the east such as Estonia have surprisingly positive and good healthcare service.


The problem of Ebola arriving to Prague is that this city is visited in a daily basis by people from everywhere. (It's the geographical center of Europe too).

That would have been a nightmare been the geographical center of Europe.

It seems that the guy turned out clean.
And i really hope so since i live 2 and a half hours away from prague.
But if i find out anything on my end i will keep you guys posted!
