While the history of "Halloween" is well known, for businesses here in the US means selling candy and for the children means a night to get candy.

I like Halloween.

Welcome to ATS

You left us wondering what else you wanted to say, or maybe that was all. Usually people want a bit more meat & potatoes to your threads.

I love Halloween, not for the candy but because I love to dress up. We had great costumes as kids and my Mom was really good at doing Halloween makeup. We used to get pillow cases full of candy because we'd drive to streets that had tons of houses to trick or treat at. Eventually the local mall started doing a trick or treat trail so as soon as we were done school (if it was on a school day) we'd touch up our makeup (always went to school in costume) and then head off to the mall. After we hit up all the places there, we'd head home for a quick dinner, finish carving any pumpkins that were incomplete and then head off to go trick or treating for a couple hours. We'd finish the night off at a bon fire that was held by the local fire department where we'd get hot chocolate & be able to watch some fire works.

I'm 27 now but I'm still going to dress up this Halloween, it's still fun to do even though I don't have any kids.
