Today’s Big Media Blindspot focuses on Hurricane – no, sorry – TYPHOON Odile, the tropical storm which recently hit Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. 80% of the population there has been left without access to food or power…and yet have you heard about this storm on the news? We’re so focused on waging war in this country, we tend to forget there’s devastation happening all around the world.

What do you think about the media's coverage of Typhoon Odile?

Here in the Midwest what we have been listening to and catching on the MSnews are more the reports of the major flooding that Nevada and Arizona are getting as the blowback from these storms.

I know that there is a huge difference for those with sat tv and cable, but for myself all we get are blurbs and no have not heard about the massive destruction from Odile...

EDIT: This all ended for our news reports after the couple from our area were able to catch a flight home...
