Palestinians Keen To Appeal To UN For End To Israeli Occupation!!!

RAMALLAH, Sept. 29 (Xinhua) -- The Palestinian leadership informed the United States of its plans to appeal to the United Nations Security Council to demand an end to the Israeli occupation, a senior official said on Monday.

Reyad al-Malki, the minister of foreign affairs in the unity government told Voice of Palestine "Radio" that the Palestinian appeal will be made on October.

"We have officially informed Washington of our decision and in case the appeal faces a veto, we will apply to join the international treaties and agencies and if we fail, we will carry out escalatory measures," said al-Malki.

Bringing an end to Israeli Occupation of Palestine should be a No-Brainer...

But for some such as the US & UK it's likely to be another case of ignoring War Crimes & Annexation when it suits them!!!

Palestinian sources say members of Mahmoud Abbas’ delegation to the UN General Assembly in New York have received definitive “noes” from the United States, Britain and Australia regarding a proposed Security Council resolution setting a timetable for ending Israel’s occupation of the West Bank and establishing an independent Palestinian state on the 1967 borders.

It would be a disgusting abuse of Justice if the US & UK veto such an appeal...
But hardly unexpected considering the boot-licking policies of the respective Countries!!!

The top Palestinian diplomat expects a furious diplomatic battle with the U.S. in the Security Council, pointing out that " Washington will block us from getting nine votes in the Security Council and if we succeed, it will use veto."

The Palestinian leadership has previously announced that it doesn't intend to go for direct or indirect confrontation with the U.S., and that the Palestinians just want to diplomatically ask for their legitimate rights.

Asked about what the Palestinian leadership does in order to head for the UN Security Council, al-Malki said "we are in full coordination with Arab, Islamic, African, non-aligned, European, Asian and Latin American states and countries.

"The project of the appeal will be presented to the Kingdom of Jordan which is the representative of the Arab states in the Security Council," said al-Malki, adding "the council then will convene within two or three weeks."

The Palestinian side is urging the US to "reconsider" it's current stance...

On Sunday, chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat said in a press statement that the Palestinians call on the U.S. to reconsider its position towards the international laws and back the Palestinian-Arab decision that will be presented soon to the UN Security Council.

However knowing the Zionistic approach of US foreign policy...
It may be left up to Palestinian efforts to join International Treaties!!!

I know right, what will they do once they are ''free'' from big bad Israel? they will have no water and no power and then they will say Israel is evil because they didn't continue to give it to them for FREE.

and while I despise what they did in Gaza, that still don't change the fact a very large amount of men in there are unemployed and receive welfare from Israel while they build their happy little tunnels instead of other things normal people build.

what occupation? the lands and fields they sold for pennies to Israeli farmers cause they had monkey brains and didn't know how to work it? and now that it is thriving and makes tons of money they want it back? one of our family friends an arab(who is a very nice person btw) said they literally did exactly that they gave away all the lands for pennies and laughed as if it is worthless, well jokes on them now isn't it?.

Self defense is every nations right... & duty!!!

And this is why they need to do away with the veto powers. All they do is provide preferential treatment to influential states and their interests by allowing them to effectively overrule the rest of the world on matters internationally agreed upon. It should only come down to a majority vote, as cast by all state members of the UN.

Under international law, Israel is considered an occupying power. Indeed, the West Bank, Gaza and the Golan heights are all considered to be occupied lands.

Without a pen, a child's use of paper is limited. He can't write if he doesn't own a pen. He is forced to use the paper under certain conditions due to limitations.

Without sovereignty, the Palestinians' rights are limited. They can't exercise sovereignty if they don't have complete authority over their lands. They are forced to live under certain conditions due to limitations.

Actually before the WESTERNERS AKA ROMANS renamed it from JUDEA which was ruled by israelites and judeans not palestinians since according to yasser arafatt and the PLO didnt really exist until they claimed it.Israel existed first. judea second. the area was then renamed BY FORCE palestinia which in todays world would a made it illegal.

Its funny the "palestinians" are claiming a name that wester invaders gave to the area.

Actually, a wise child would prioritise his ability to keep himself clean and free of unnecessary biocontaminants, over his ability to indulge his creative mind. With the amount of broken masonry lying around, finding something to make a mark on something with, would be perhaps easier than one might imagine. It would be perfectly possible for a wise child therefore, to have his cake and eat it, with regard to the scenario of which you speak.

Being a master of illusion only works for so long. Eventually another type of master comes along, one that sees how it is.

Let's stay focused on war crimes shall we? Said occupation should have a set end date, including right of return for Palestinians.

I'd also like to know why Israel is building a tunnel network themselves. Can you please elaborate? Why not use that concrete to rebuild all the hospitals destroyed in Gaza?

Ever hear of a little thing called the occupied West Bank? Not to mention that all the land Israel has stolen is occupied land.

Israel provides them with free utilities such as electricity water and gas.

Israel still charges Palestine for the electricity and gas even though Palestine is unable to pay for it.

Maybe Hamas though it would be better to build tunnels instead of Schools and Hospitals for Israel to target.
