well we're not as used to guns as our friends across the pond and it's an event that could attract nutters but i'd hope that security outside the building could spot some guy with a rifle/shotgun before they enter the building and nick them

and as to the advice of running away from the shooter, technically they could be as afraid of you as you are of them especially if they havn't yet fired the gun so grabbing your pair and going into the fray could be a good move especially if it stops them

Run?? Hide? That is just not cricket! My advice would be, sod fear of death. If some horrid bastard is going to assault a large mob of people, the only thing likely to minimise body count, would be someone smashing the attackers heads open with a fire extinguisher. All that happens when people run, is that they get shot in the back. Wounds to the fore people, thats the way to go, preferably with a pile of enemy dead at your back.

The only wounds to the back should be exit wounds and take a large escort to the Gates of Hell with you.

This is the tories so they'll generally be the older gun owning sort of people anyway so will know the type of person who's likely to go out giving it both barrels and if it don't seem right i'm sure someone would go and bitch slap them even if they was on crutches or in a chair
