A doctor returning from Liberia has tested positive for ebola in Nebraska.

These are only two links reporting on it though there are many others reporting the same story.
Hopefully they can keep this contained, only time will tell.

Ehhhm. Not exactly. They flew him over here just as they did with Dr. Kent Brantly and Dr. Nancy Writebol. he is here for treatment.

Well even in containment there is a chance it may spread.
Maybe an inappropriate thread title but if its here its here regardless.
All it would take its one fail of the measures put in place to prevent spread and then you have a possible outbreak.

I'll start to worry when someone randomly contracts the virus in the wild. There were doctors that contracted it in the affected area and were brought back to the US for treatment. That's not new information.

Well, since they did an efficient job with the other two last month, it stands to reason they will be just fine with this one. Also, this isn't West Africa. We have actual medical infrastructure in place to effectively contain and treat this type of thing.

Fear mongering and nothing more. Also this was like two days ago.

Well it was flown over. So it reaches the US when someone over here comes down with symptoms.

Nah.. it's kinda important to distinguish cases brought here for treatment in full isolation pods and an actual unknown case arriving on a plane. One creates a danger, the other not so much.
