Here is what it is and why. It was actually at the top of the page you linked to.

Below are a number of photos released by Israeli Anti-Terrorist personnel at the Worldwide Conference in Charleston, South Carolina. All photos depict the real stuff being used against Israel and through out the mid-east by terrorists.

At first I thought the government was going to make soldiers wear these! Good thing they aren't and its only the terrorists who are stupid enough to blow themselves up anyways are going to wear them.

That's bad not good. It means that they're producing enough of them to use them and kill hundreds daily if they can make enough!

I had no idea they made suicide vests so well. The workmanship is impressive for something that basically shouldn't need to be. Did you notice the strips of nails and ball bearings?

Ohh yes, the sharapnel was the first thing I noticed as well..
Why is there a sewing machine in the backround though? ... why are they making them if they are the ANTI-TERRORism?.....

I said it was good that they aren't going to make our soldiers wear them. I don't think something like that is good. But soldiers shouldn't have to wear them and that is what I mean by good thing they aren't.

It is bad that terrorists use them, but they don't kill that many but do wound alot.

At least its better than a car bomb. The terrorist blows himself up and we don't have to worry about him anymore. Car bombs they can keep doing as long as cars are made.

I don't buy that this was from some conference as there is no reason for the fabric shop in the background. I think perhaps this could be a Hollywood movie prop after it was made. The photo was definitely taken in the US and the guy is probably an American - notice he is wearing a Bass Pro Shops hat.

Now that I think about it...if it isn't a movie prop like ben suggested it might be, then why would somone make one? Unless they intend to use it for evil purposes or just to hold a lot of chip bags and carbonated beverages...hmm...

I garuntee those aren't props... Those don't look like special effects people.
and BTW who would make a movie depicting such acts? I don't think anyone would want to see it.. not to mention those look pretty professional, did anyone ever stop to think who was making the stuff the "terrorists were using"

The intro photos show a guy that has TOO MUCH Time on his hands. 22 charges... that small... get real... damn I must have too much time on my hands... I'm gonna go play a game... I don't need to think about this topic.

Ok, once agian.... They are a TRAINING aid. Nothing more. They were made to display at an intel conference. They are NOT a white suprimicist. They ar NOT movie props. Read the link that was posted with the pictures. You people need to quit speculating when the answer is righ there in front of you. I have already quoted it once on this thread. No big conspericy, just a training aid.

Yes, read above!

Yeah, I think they are not real though. Come on, I think a terrorist would jsut throw the stuff rougly int othe suicase or duct tabe explosives onto him. These guys are on a real budget you know, they don't have the luxury of giat factories with folks mass-producing these things. THey are constantly getting blown up by helicopters that don't discriminate between civilians or hostiles. They just kill everything, so I think they would go rough and ready and not worry about neatly stiched edges.

man, terrorists aren't poor.... you guys amaze me.. they have more funding than some of the forces against them

Of course the idea of this being a prop for movies is just speculation, however I too could make a website with pictures and claim it is whatever I want you to believe it is. I highly doubt this vest is representative of what terrorists actually make. There is no reason to make them of this high a quality. Why did they not run out and buy regular black iron pipe and end caps rather than spend the time to machine them in-house? Notice the pipe threading machine in the background:

You obviously have no idea what the government spends annually for training. One thing I will say good about our government is they dont skimp when it comes to training those fighting the 'war on terror', wether its Army, Marines, FBI or CIA. The Gov spends the money because they have it.

Either way, it doesn't look like it matters much either way, that's only one of how many vests? ... I don't care.. if one person wearing one of those vests is on public transportation with the fuel tanks located really anywhere.. your going to have a big problem... I just think we should be careful of what we allow.. I would like an explanation for those vests... like a paper trail of where the materials came from to where they went... and how they obtained the materials..

EDIT
lus its not too hard for a CIA agent to dress up and appear muslim .. or you know appear like a terrorist.. considering they're all terrorists right? .. Just remember the Cia cause a lot of trouble ... they like to dress up and pretend every now and then when its needed..
