Masked gunmen have successfully entered the US embassy in Saudi, armed, and opened fire. Reportedly 3 of the terrorists have been killed and two captured. This story is breaking now.

US CONSULATE ATTACKED

Eighteen people have been taken hostage and four killed in an attack on the US consulate in Saudi Arabia.

A shootout between gunmen and Saudi security staff is continuing and witnesses say the guards have stormed the building.

This attack bears all of the hallmarks of an AQ attack, with Saudi intelligence suggesting that higher levels of 'chatter' have been picked up recently. The US have been expecting this by all accounts.
