" Why is it that most churches won't touch this subject? "
Simple: because they draw their "faith", "faithful", and "faithful funding" by focusing everyone's attention on a superior ethereal being that will
ultimately 'judge" them, define their lives and behavior, and "save" them from "burning in Hell", by promising "salvation", and "eternal life" for
their allegiance, and their "promise" to worship only their version of invisible deities - and you should consider NO others!
Churches don't touch the subject, my friend, because if they do, they would then have to admit that there is indeed a potential alternative superior
ethereal being, perhaps myriads of them, which would render their premise and argument for existence a ludicrous fantasy.
There is simply too much at stake (i.e., mostly 'followers' and their guilt-money). Churches will do whatever they can, and may have done way more
than you realize, to suppress 'the TRUTH', since they've got their own 'truth' that they've built their entire foundation around, and by acknowledging
'the subject', they may introduce 'doubt' (a.k.a. BLASPHEMY!)
Think a little bit (meaning do a little independent thinking - not think only what you are told to think) -and this will become obvious to you as
well. And don't assume for a second that the church doesn't fear such independent thinking more than the Devil himself...
