A Square Formation Found on Mercury?

Shakespeare Quadrangle on Mercury has a square formation? or is it a glitch in the image? Please look close to the image to see the square.

At that level of zoom everything looks kinda squarish, but it does kinda stand out doesn't it?

In that bottom photo, I see quite a few 'square formations'. Pixelation would be my guess.

You do realize that you're looking at a image that was put together with digital images, right?

The photomosaic was produced using computer techniques and software developed in the Image Processing Laboratory of NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The pictures have been high-pass filtered and contrast enhanced to accentuate surface detail, and geometrically transformed into a Lambert conformal projection.

I could find one of these in a picture of you if taken with the right camera. It doesn't mean there are aliens on your face.

This is one of those instances where the pixelation is so prevalent that anything that is seen should be dismissed. You cannot zoom in on an image to the point of everything being squared in shape and then expect to not see shapes. If you look around there are many square things in these images. This one looks a bit different from the others, but considering everything is squared off this is not reliable evidence since it is most likely due to the same thing that is causing the distortion of the landscape in other areas.
