I will say what I think and I think we are being manipulated into mistrusting our LOCAL police.....bad policy, imo.

Have you had contact with your local police recently? The local police are doing a fantastic job of turning the local community against them, they don't need any help. In fact they don't want camera from TPTB or anyone else recording their ego inflating deeds or tactics.

They have minions now. Watch out for the community code enforcers. They have become just as militaristic and make no qualms about letting you know if you dispute, talk back or ignore them, they will make your life a living hell and place a lein on their home.
