Among The Sleep - Woah...this is different!

Hey everyone! I had ATS member Bigburgh in another thread, pointed out a indie game to try out, that is called Among The Sleep.

The game has you play as a toddler, who is walking around in your dark house, looking for your mom, accompanied by a talking teddy bear.

Sounds cute, right?

Well hold on to your horses! This game get's about as creepy as you can think of!

First, you can download the demo of the game which is FREE and very long! I was really surprised (have not even finished the demo myself yet!). The game is located on Steam.

In order to get the game, you'll need to create a Steam account if you do not have one already. You can click on the link here to create an account. It's free.

Oh my gosh, I only made it to 2:56 of the first video! Too creepy for me. lol. I might come back later and try to watch more of the video, but I dunno, that was freaky and I kept waiting for something really really scary to jump up into the screen. *shudder*

The tension is pretty good in this game! When the jump scare did happen finally.......woah....I about peed my pants!

This game, playing as a toddler.....to me it brings back how you may have felt as a kid: helpless at times.

Many of us may remember a time as a kid in which we were really scared of something, or a scary situation, and I think that helps add to the scary part of this game.

Sorry, there is no other....legal way....to get the game.

I do know some hate Steam, and while i hate having to download games, or logging in to play, I can say that by buying my games from Steam, I've been able to replace games when I've had HD crashes, or have seen my game disks destroyed by my kids, accidents, etc.

Lol, it brought to mind how I felt last night! Home alone and my dog heard something outside and was snarling and lunging at my backdoor! Terrified! I really will force myself to watch more of this video, just have to build up my courage, haha! I don't really love computer games though (I'm not coordinated enough), I'd be much more likely to play it if it were on a gaming console.

Hey OP, you should check out "P.T" footage for PS4. It's the demo that was just released as a teaser for the new Silent Hill game coming soon. Very similar to this game... incredibly creepy too. Here's some in-game footage:

Would be cool to check out, but sadly, I do not own a PS4 (never did get into consoles). My son has an Xbox plus his own computer.

I am working on a Silent Hill 2 (PC port) Let's Play however.
