Hmm...well he didn't shoot anybody, right? I would call the looters and rioters animals, myself. The protestors were different people than those doing the looting and rioting?

I do not have a problem one with someone expressing themselves honestly. Period.

None of this would have happened if the teenager hadn't been shot. While the police statement about the shooting is baldy enough, the one thing they didn't say above all else, was that the teenager was armed. So?

The officer calling the protesters, "Animals" was way out of line, in fact, considering what that might have caused, and in front of cameras...he needs his head examined. So it was the protesters who showed restraint there, and it has been reported that the protest had, albeit informal, stewards. Likely moms and dads whatever.
And again, it was the crowd who got tear gassed by the police, some in their own back yards, the press was threatened with arrest, and/or told to get out of town...by the police. So a right old bunch of rednecks there.

I do think that now, it would be better that any protest should end, at least until the police's own enquiry is finished, and a full statement made.

How do you know he wanted them to become violent?

Are you saying that you know that some of the protesters were in the lot that basically destroyed the neighborhood?

Simple logic would dictate that since the makeup of the protest was a large portion of the people from that neighborhood and it was those neighborhood people that looted the place, that there were people there that were involved....

I dont know if I believe that, since looting and pillaging a neighborhood and destroying it isnt your typical reaction to have to tragedy......

Had this happened to a huge group of white folks rioting I would have been all over it in a minute. I would have said that they were acting like animals, so the officer was calling it like he saw it. Should he have said it? Probably not, but it is what it is. Is it unprofessional? Absolutely. Since this aired on national tv, I am sure he will come to regret having said it in one form or another.

maybe they will stop acting like animals, when they quit being shot and killed like animals...the shooting came first, not the rioting.

I call it a felony.
Protesters would be at city hall or the police station demanding justice. These animals are just using a kids death to justify robbery. They could care less about the dead kid.

Where are the nation's Race Pimps???? They are where they can blame white people, and not themselves, and where they can profit from such things.
