Was going to do a thread on another Obama lie about never going on vacation.

Then I thought, why bother. People will just say;
All politicians lie!
Bush took vacations!
Why are you racist?

Then I thought, "Maybe this is what they want."

Lie after lie after lie after lie. Obfuscation, rewrite of past events. Who the hell knows what is real and what is false anymore?

Maybe this is what they want.

A populace so tired of the bull, that they will simply accept whatever the politicians/media is saying. Without question.

Without debate.

Because it just isn't worth it anymore.

Yeah Obama lied again. Who is going to hold his feet to the fire?

The media? (laughs)
Other politicians? (laughs again)

I guess that leaves us. The wee folk. The great unwashed. Because we are the only ones left that hold politicians to some sort of standard. If we don't, then there is no-one left who would.

I couldn't be more surprised that Obama has lied yet again as I would have had I awoken this morning with my head sewn to the carpet. Seriously.

You are right... It's beyond old and it does get to the point where you really couldn't care less since you are met with everything you listed every time you have the audacity to point it out.

Since we can't expect this to change for the remainder of his time in office, I don't know what can be done differently.

It's like a carnival ride that the local drunk is attending. He's passed out at the controls and you can't get off no matter how much you scream.

We got back every dime we used to rescue the banks and auto companies, with interest.

I am not spying on American citizens.

Obama Care will be good for America.

If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor.

Premiums will be lowered by $2500.

If you like it, you can keep your current healthcare plan.

It's just like shopping at Amazon.

I knew nothing about "Fast and Furious" gunrunning to Mexican drug cartels.

I knew nothing about IRS targeting conservative groups.

I knew nothing about what happened in Benghazi.

I have never known my uncle from Kenya who is in the country illegally and that was arrested and told to leave the country over 20 years ago. And, I have never lived with that uncle. (He finally admitted on 12-05-2013 that he DID know his uncle & that he DID live with him.)

And the biggest “misstatement” of all:

Agreed. We are also the only ones with the power to change the system and remove the corruption. We can stop the lies. But we dont. And I believe that is why they do it so much. Because we let them get away with it.

Part of the problem that I have noticed (especially where I live in Texas) is that we have good local people with good ideas who run and get elected. BUT by the time they have spent 1 year in Washington they seem to get used to the parties and backdoor deals etc....

Once they suck you in, you can't get out. Its almost like brainwashing to a certain extent. The Federal Government is a big ship in the water and turning it around takes so long, it never happens. We in America are quickly headed down a "Socialist" path and it is gonna suck all the way down the drain. The system is to big to change at this point.

So Obama and/or the next POTUS will continue to lie just like every politician lies and we will continue to shake our heads and argue over which side is right and blah, blah, blah..........

I too suffer from OLF.

But let's be truthful here. The POTUS is never really on vacation, just a change of location that may be a bit more relaxing. But all that crap in the White House does follow him around.

What I find annoying though is that when he was running for office he complained about all the golfing and vacations that Bush did and now he does the exact same thing, even more than Bush did. That's just hypocritical.

I have PLF. Politician lying fatigue.

I'm so sick of getting treated like an unintelligent moron by these politicians that do and say things that completely insult my intelligence.....and it's sickening that my fellow Americans keep voting for them. But most of them are unintelligent morons.

Another thing that bothers me is the constant partisan bashing. We see stories and threads constantly bashing Obama or (insert Republican name here), but when it is shown that their politician of choice has done the same thing......crickets.

The entire political debate is disingenuous and insulting.

Wish we could just reboot the system.
