Can anyone recommend a good sturdy diesel generator?

Sadly, I've come to the conclusion that if TEOTWAWKI actually occurs, that i will not be among the survivors. That is for the young. I'm of an age where I get social security. I don't think that I can survive.

I live in the country in a house that I built when I was young. We have solar panels and buy food by the case so I think that I will last longer than most but I just don't have the strength that I used to have. We do have solar panels, and I'm still very crafty. I've build several houses, I have tons of knowledge but no longer have the physical ability that I think will be necessary for survival.

So I'm just enjoying my life and not worrying about the the worst case scenarios. At some point, you have to realize that you will not be among the survivors no matter how well you have prepared.

I am loving my life and hope that the worst never happens. I would recommend a book called "One second after" for all those reading this. Survival is a matter of luck, initially, and planning for the long term. If you need meds, how will you get them? If you have parents or others in facilities what will you do? Are you living a sustainable life now? If not, you will not survive.

It takes an incredible amount of effort to provide food for your family for a year. Right now, you can buy a years worth of freeze dried food for not much. One second after TEOTWAWKI, you won't be able to get your hands on anything you need.

Good luck and God bless

Yeah, but for the strong that survive, let's give them every advantage.

Hey, then why invite those that survive there and not tell us all about it?

You can find many places in the country where people like me live.

Most are younger and better armed.

No, just the normal things you might find on a country property.

Think of the mob of peasants in the old Frankenstein movies

Love and light

Get a Honda.

They're not diesels, but they are red.

Lol no: red diesel not the colour red, its cheap diesel i can get gallons of it for pennys haha

Red diesel is the same as regular diesel but its dyed red for off road use and its not taxed for road use.
(don't get caught with it in your truck on road its a very stiff fine)
Red dyed diesel is also used for home heating oil in parts of the US and i ran a lot of it in the mine equipment i ran at the mine i ran.
The cheapest fuel for a diesel is one of the JP8 fuels used for aircraft and is a aircraft kerosene.
Once put in a aircraft if it has to be taken out of the aircraft"contaminated fuel" for any reason it can never be put back in a aircraft and must be disposed of.
This aircraft fuel can be used in military diesel engines as is or for non military generators you can mix it with 1/2 gal of 30 weight oil to 50 gal diesel.

As for low priced generators try used standby generators that were used a doctors or dentist offices.
these are usually 5 to 10 kw 120/240 power the same as found in homes.
most are 20 t0 30 years old but have very low hours
