Qatar Airways has released a statement confirming there were 265 passengers and 13 crew on board the plane.
They say the crew had received a threat about a possible device on board and alerted the relevant authorities.
The statement says: "As this is now a police investigation we cannot comment further at this time."

Anybody else seen the footage from the passenger on the flight that the BBC are showing.
As they film the fighter there appears to be a small flash and a streak coming from the fighter.

Anyone else find this has similarities to an incident that happened at Toronto's Pearson airport last week ? Almost the same M.O and the plane was escorted by two f18's I believe
