When Bob Strange was 44, his son told him "you're getting fat." That was all it took. Bob joined a gym, started working out, and the rest is
history.
SOLANA BEACH, Calif.- Seventy-eight-year-old Bob Strange is a World Champion Olympic Weightlifter with no plans to slow down anytime soon. He
already has over 100 first or second place finishes in Olympic Weightlifting and power lifting, a product of over three decades of dedication. It
began with a simple phone call from his son.
Wow, good for him! There are people his age that are walking with canes and he's power lifting! It's tough to be motivated as you get older,
everything slows down. I guess no matter how old you are, if you're self-motivated, anything is possible. He'll probably live beyond a 100.
